Thanks for the feedback ( no longer on sale ) but what kind of prices are not considered a rip off for this item? In other words, buying brand new from an authorized dealer, with full manufacturers warranty, i.e. you blow the woofer due to your negligence (i the dealer not knowing this) i give you a brand spankin new one. We'll do this for 2 whole years. Remove your old one and reinstall the new one. What would be a fair price for this. And how would that compare if you bought this same item on-line and blew the woofer. just curious on this as we are not really looking to sale product on this forum, more like doing research on consumer spending trends. Please more feed back. thanks

What would be fair is you following the rules and becoming a sponsor first.

And that price is way to high, There was a JL rep on here when this was developed and people told them they dont want to loose trunk space, which tyou do with this setup, and they said they dont want to pay that much for a box.

JL never listened to SCION OWNERS COMPLAINTS!!!! There is a thread somewhere about it all.

Sorry about the way 1st posting came out. We were warned by hotwheelsrs1 bout that. Just so you know i wont be posting ads. (kinda new to this forum stuff) sorry guys. I hate being sold to as well, so i know how this must have ____ed lots of members off, again sorry. Anyway we are really looking at how our consumer spends. What you guys think are hot brand what is to cheap what is to expensive, etc, etc.
So the JL stealth box for this car is to expensive ? and takes to much room? What do you guys think of JL Audio vs, Audison, vs. the other brands. Feedback please.

First things first:

Second, JL is good. A bit pricey considering FI, RE, MMATTs and all that is out there is equally priced, but better than JL.
Third, the box you have shown, raises the floor. I forget how high, but it does. That is not stealth. Stealth is not seen and does not intrude into the passenger/cargo area. Personally I dont mind loosing my trunk, but I am just pointing out what stealth. There is a true stealth box already out there, made by ED.

As far as price, its a cheap car, most arent willing to spend the big bucks. Personally again, I dont fall in that category. I will spend what ever it takes to make me happy.
But I think its over priced. Is it loaded or unloaded? If loaded, then its not to bad. But unloaded, its $699 + $150 for the actual sub. Add in another $200 for the amp, $100 for wiring and MISC. And you are talking a $1000 system without install for one sub.
And the size of the box, that one sub isnt going to be a top of the line JL sub. Its going to be a W3, most likely.
$1000 for one W3 is kinda pricey.

All JL Stealth Boxes are loaded, this one with a 10 w3 (woofer alone is 239.99 in a retail shop)
I'm not sticking up for JL Audio but what besides price makes these other brands better, (more attractive) I do know the other brands mention, great products. But dollar for dollar what would you guys consider comparable to the 10w3, (remember sound is subjective,) in output, tone, accuracy. I have my own personal favorite (it's not JL) thanks for the feed back.

Now that changes a lot. I did not know it was preloaded. If I was going for a usable trunk, I would consider it for the $500 range.

I have always had a fully used up trunk. Except my first setup in the tC was a single W6 12" that retained half the trunk.
