Default Just got pulled over for window tint...HELP!

Does anyone know someone/how to get it signed off without having to remove the tint, or am i just going to have to remove the tint and have it redone later. I serioously think this is the stupidest ticket you can get along with no front license plate, oh which i also got one of those.
Way to start the week.

If you have friends that are officers, they will sign it off. Just make sure you tell them you took the tint off.. ;)

CHP is starting to crack down on tint more since a couple officers where shot during stops and the cars they pulled over had tinted windows. They couldn't see anything until the last second.

If you cant get the ticket signed off dont pull your tint off and then have it put back on....Just pay the fine... It will be less in the long run.

When I got mine, it was either $118 or $128. I love my tint. Especially during the summer. I had mine signed off before I got the fine. Now that I know how much it is, I'm not going to worry about it if I can't get them signed off again.

How many percent is your tint, btw!? I have 5% in the back and 35% in the front. It's not that bad in the front with the 35%. I would have gone 45% but the place I did it at didn't have it. But if you got anything lower than that . . well, cops will mostlikely bust you for it. Goodluck though. I know how it feels to get stupid tickets. Peace . . .

I have 5% on the rear 3 and 20% on the front. I'm going to change the front to 5% too....Regardless of what tint you get on the front, you know its illegal so if you get a ticket then you just eat it or get it signed off if you can....

While I don't like the law, I don't consider it "stupid". Put yourself in the families shoes that have lost someone or someone that has been injured because some dumb @ss shot them, but b/c they didn't see the gun coming they didn't have a change. Usually it's a petty traffic stop, where the person would have gotten off with nothing more than a ticket, but get scared b/c of the weed or whatever in the car. I know tint is kind of necessary in some places, but I still understand why the tint ruleexist. I had 50% on my front before I left Cali and never got pulled over, and I drove on base everyday. Anyhow, g/l with your ticket.

Now the front plate thing, I can't talk about b/c that is stupid.

It's a fix-it ticket. So if he chooses not to fight it then he can get the tint replaced and have an officer sign the ticket saying the tint is at an acceptable degree and pay your fine. However, if you have a "hook-up" somewhere then you can just have the officer sign that you got it off, pay your fine; but you don't ave to pay to get the tint back on b/c you never took it off.

What purpled_out_tC said but you don't pay the fine if it is signed off.... You pay a proccessing fee of 10-15 bucks when you go to show that it has been corrected.

i've got 5% on the back and 30% on the front
california legal limit is 70%
if i had 5% all around that would be a little more understandable
but you can see in my front windows still

i agree its not a stupid law...its just one of those things where someone does something bad and ruins it for the rest of us...it really sucks, i just feel i shouldnt have to pay for it.

your better off trying to find a friend or someone thats an officer, have them sign it, pay the $10 fix it ticket and next time a five-0 rolls by, just roll down your window... that's what I do...
