Frankie Johnnie & Luigi's
Various locations in the bay area
Great Oso Bucco - (braised lamb shank) - the meat falls off the bone.
Pastas pretty good too.

Fu Lam Mun in downtown Mountain View
Used to pretty cheap, but they're getting more expensive every year - even the late night menu

Gelato Gusto
Mountain View on El Camino
Good desert - nice selection of gelato and shaved ice - not quite Chinese or even hawaiian style but good enough

Tofu House
Sunnyvale / Santa Clara - off Lawrence / El Camino Real
I know what you're thinking - ewwwww tofu? Ed eats tofu? yes I do eat tofu. with meat. and veggies, and usually a whole bunch of other things. Tofu House Korean style tofu is actually a kind of stew. It's best on cold day.
The prices here are pretty cheap and their dishes are pretty good.

Cafe Aroma
3488 El Camino Real
Santa Clara, CA 95051
(40 985-9555
Chinese style deserts - shaved ice, gelato

99 Chicken
2781 El Camino Real
Santa Clara, CA 95051
(40 244-5599
So-called because I could eat 99 chickens if they were cooked at this place. Get the plain fried chicken. They only do legs and wings here but it is well worth the price. Get several orders if I'm with you though.

Come on LCT! and West Bay Scikotics! Throw up some good places to eat in your hood!

Dang it! How could I forget?

Bolansa Desert in the Milpitas
The same little shopping center as China Palace.
Get the "egg nugget". It's kind of a waffle batter-thing

Bambu has great teas. Their tapioca is ok, but their dark brick (aka coffee jelly) is the best! If you go there, get their number 11: dark brick milk tea. Their tea is also pretty strong, not watered down.

Bambu Snacks and Coffee
1688 Hostetter Rd
Ste D
San Jose, CA 95131

Mini-Gourmet
599 S Bascom Ave
San Jose, CA 95128
(40 275-8973
A small dinner that's open 24 hours - basic american food but much better than Denny's or I-hop. Props to Kelsey and Bubbles for telling us about this place. Get the late night pancakes. They are as big as the 12 inch plate.
It's a little strange to get to this place but it's right next to Santa Clara Valley med center and SJ City Collegel
