San Francisco meets?

I don't think anyone usually has specific meets in SF. Usually we go to SF if there's a car show or something happening.
But you don't have to wait for or get permission from anyone if you'd like to call a meet in SF. Meets are usually pretty informal.... We just post up a thread saying something like;
"meet - Ocean Beach 2/10/07 6PM to whenever".
Usually we specify that we have a meet at a resturant or something but it doesn't have to be. (although having a meet at a place with food usually guarantees that I, at least, show up)

There also has to be a parking lot that will hold a few cars. That is why meets don't usually go on in SF. That's why meets are usually in the east bay or south bay. I'd be down to meet in SF or South SF, so I don't have to drive 45+ minutes or cross any bridges!

Well, if you guys don't mind we can freeze our butts off at Ocean Beach. A great place to meet would be Lot 1 @ SFSU under the admin building, but we need an in at SFSU. Anybody close with public safety there? I work for SFUSD and we have a nice big lighted parking lot, but I'm no where near being buddies with the top floor folks.

We don't want to risk running into Sgt Stonestown, do we? LOL! The outer parking lot nearest SFSU @ 19th Ave is kinda emtpy at times. All we need is a few ppl to buy foodstuffs @ McD or the bookstore cafe and Sgt Stonestown can't hassle us.

There's not really any big free parking lots in SF anywhere huh? Everything's either a private parking garage, a city park that closes at sundown, or a small private business that doesn't like loitering.
