Default THANK YOU F5 Fujita Competition Air Intake Systems! Pics add

The door bang rang at 2pm friday at the 886motorwerx offices.

I opened the door, and it was my UPS delivery man holding a bright orange box.

It was my F5 Fujita Competition Air Intake System’s short ram intake for my 2004 Scion xB! WOO HOO!

Upon opening the box, you’ll notice how everything is separately wrapped and bagged. No damage to be caused by any ham-fisted delivery persons.

The parts list is impressive to say the least. I was surprised to see the Hose Techniques hoses and the T-bolt clamps. Allen head screws replace the forever-loosening OEM screws for the MAF and an allen key/wrench is also provided, separately bagged and padded intake w/ the crankcase vent tube BEHIND the MAF (YES!), and the new F5 designed air intake filter w/ the end cap shaped as a tornado pointing inward.

Nice, very nice parts indeed!

Also worth mentioning, is the fact that INSIDE the intake is clean.

The short ram I currently have for the next few days(until this is installed), had to be cleaned up because of all of the polishing compound and dust that was inside of it when I first got it. I know for a fact that it caused some peeps to have CELs in the beginning. Not the F5 short ram, its ready to go! No prep work needed!

The instruction book outlines the install step-by-step, w/ pictures for each step! No second guessing what is to be installed where. Nice!

The hat and duffle bags are nice incentives also!

Very nice F5!

Pics, install, and first driving impressions to come shortly! Stay tuned!

THANK YOU Ryan and F5 Fujita Competition Air Intake Systems!

Zach, let's just say that polished WON'T be the only option in the real near future.

iNFEktEd, sorry mang, I was messing w/ a Buel XB12 today. I hope to do the install tomorrow and drive it a bit.

No polishing residue on the inside of the intake also.

The intake does look really good. Installation will be a piece of cake. It looks solid enuff to handle to handle the potholes of CA's freeways and streets. I don't see it coming undone especially w/ those t-bolts.

But then again, the current SRI I have, hasn't come off in the last two years either.

Looks good, if it had stickers and a plate frame it would be the
same as the injen kit. Was it cheaper than the injen kit?
Looking at the box I half expected it to be orange in color,
that would have been cool also.

The intake comes w/ two decals, a hat, and duffle bag.

I was surprised to see the t-bolt clamps myself.

Is the filter a dry filter element or does it need to be oiled. . .funny enough the reason I am asking is that the filter looks almost like the dry Apexi power intake. If it's a dry filter then this will be the next purchase I make for my xB

I got a question about these units. I went to their website and many of their products look similar to the Injen line. I'm not doubting these or saying they are less; I'm just wondering. Are any of the employees former Injen people? Looks like the Clamping is improved upon as Brad mentioned above. Also, the filter looks better. I'm just wondering. Anyone want to educate an OG Lurker?
