Yea I was thinking about what would be the most cost effective for my wallet which does not go very deep at the moment. So i'll go with the resonators for now and see how things go.

I got pulled over long ago for loud exhaust in my integra, I was on 167, the cop said "your exhaust was so loud I could hear it over my police radio and air conditioning with the window up traveling at highway speeds from 1/4 mile away" he didnt have a dB reader and I had it thrown out in court, but I did some research at the time and the law simply stated the exhaust could not exceede 91 dB at 2000rpm....but like Tom said, Law's are moving targets and its best to get the most current info

If you install a good aftermarket cat and a good resinator, this will tone the noise down and will also keep the rasp away.

Very true. However I have already installed the TRD axle back exhaust. It doesnt sound nearly as loud as my SRS cat back but it still gives a bit of a growl. I've kept the axle back part of the SRS as that is still good. Figured it would be nice to put back on in the summer time. The mid pipe went back cause of the resonator. Guess some metal came loose and now it rattles around.
