Adios, Ciao, Good Bye
I went and sold my 2006 xB yesterday and bought a new BMW 328xi wagon.
So, this is good bye. It's been fun. But time to grow up.
Thanks for the memories.
Especially Miami. That was hot!

Congrats on the new ride! You can still stick around just because you don't own a Scion does not mean you are not welcome here.
I'm not sure I understand, what exactly do you mean by "But time to grow up"?

So, did you sell your xb by private party or trade it in? If you traded it in then thats a rare xb on the lot. Doubt it will last long on a lot. Just here in Kelos a dealer had a rs4 xb and it din't last long. Have fun with the new ride.

For me my car does not determine if I have grown up or not and I hope that people don’t judge if I have grown up or not based on what car I drive.
Again I would like to say Congrats on the new ride. The BMW 328xi is a nice car and I hope you enjoy it!

I didn’t want to say anything until I got clarification from Ebox3000 because I don’t have specifics on what his intent was and I don't know him so I can not infer what he meant. Since I was not the only one who saw it in a potentially negative light I decided to post. Maybe I took it the wrong way and if I did I am sorry and hope no one was hurt by anything I said. I have much respect for the BMW brand.
In general from my experience and not saying this is the case here but people who drive higher end cars Audi, BMW, Mercedes tend to look down on others who don’t or think they are better than others in some way. In some ways rightly so, a Scion no matter how nice can never be considered a Luxury brand (maybe someday) but that is no reason to look down on others or to not want to hang out with them. There are several people who have moved on to purchase other vehicles and that is great, but many of them still come to events and hang out because of the community and the bond we have all formed. The best thing is our community's doors are always open to anyone, no mater what they drive, and even if they don’t drive.

1- Congrats on the new car! I hope you enjoy your new ride.
2- Driving a BMW vs a Scion, you will get taken more seriously.
3- Safety.
I wrote about 500+ words in reply to this and then decided against it due to not wanted to offend people. If you want more on my thoughts as I just bought a new car give me a ring or PM me and I'd be glad to share more thoughts.

nice car. good choice.
Many of you don't know me and those who do probably don't remember but that is ok, but after reading this post I felt obligated to post a reply. I don't drive a Scion but I drive a car in the same 'class' as the Scion brand, a Honda Civic. I don't really care for the car myself for many reasons which the poster has referenced. The civic, xb, tc, what have you is more of an entry level car. An affordable vehicle that is fun to drive and is a great overall car, but in the overall context of life it isn't a car that demands any type of status.
I've been looking at getting a new car recently and I took some looks at the new tC, but when it came down to it I am getting older and that car is more of a 'kid' car. By that you will see more teenagers driving it than a grown man with a bachelors degree in finance. For me to actually get taken seriously a Scion would not be the car for me, because like I said any 16 y/o could drive the same car. I would never look down upon anybody because of the vehicle they drive, that is not a good representation of a persons wealth, status, character, or overall attitude. After most cars now days really have no monetary value after 10 years - so what gives?
