Erik and I had a very very bad incident with a kid trying to street race us in his civic, he pulled right in front of us and locked up his brakes so hard all 4 tires squealing and I thought we were for sure done for, thank god Erik is a quick thinker and we have good brakes too. I see the kid at shows / meets sometimes and Erik STILL has to hold me back from knocking him out. What if I had been some pregnant lady? the force I was thrown against the belt would have caused some trauma for sure. What A-holes.

idiots with crap to prove.
I personally would put money on you to kick the living daylights out of him.......heck I got a $100 says you knock him out in under 30 seconds.

There is NO WHERE in Washington where it is ok to be alone in the HOV Lanes, Any time. Except highway 167 in Renton. I call them in all the time. that's one thing that REALLY ____es me off. People that just feel they are above the laws of the road, and do whatever the ____ they want to. So I say they're drunk drivers.

EXCEPT....on 405 and parts of I-90. On I-405, Carpool lane only applies between 5am and 7pm. Any other time you are perfectly legal to drive in that lane by yourself. It says so on the signs. Certain sections of I-90 follow the same idea.

I guess you're right. i see it JUST stsarted last month. That's REALLY ____ed up. why bother even HAVING HOV lanes then? The other thing that's screwed up, is that they opened them to everyone. I mean, they were intended to get multiple DRIVERS to ride together. to get cars off of the road. NOT for soccer moms to take a wagon full of kids to the park in.

I really HATE street racers it drives me nuts...last year I lost someone because of a stupid kid trying to show off in his CRX in a residential neighborhood...he lost control right across from a playground and crashed into a pole in someones front yard!! Not only did he kill her he very well could have killed a small child...stupid stupid....

Now some professional racers start out street racing but majority of them start out like my son racing jr Thunder on a race track...My son is 10 years old and could probly handle a car better than these stupid kids who wanna street race, god know Devin can beat just about anyone off the line...yeah I'm bragging my son hit's PERFECT LIGHTS...But Devin also knows that once he get's his licence the only place he is allowed to race is on the track...my goodness why street race when you can go up to pacific on a friday night and race..why put others lives in danger....

405 has been that way for several years. The point of it to to open up more lanes during off peak time. So when its not busy, you have an additional lane of traffic, thus reducing congestion in the other lanes. remember, it's after 7pm.

I hate those ppl that pull up and try to race. Funny thing is when I had a Civic Si, I would get corvettes, mustangs, gti's, probes, and other Hondas try to race me. When I got the tC, same thing. When I switched to the current ride, nobody tries to race me. I guess just being in a wagon just doesn't tempt idiot street racers.

Driving foolish is fun till you kill someone you never met till you plow into them.I have a dear friend in prison for 10 more years to go for killing an elderly man and his wife while driving 50 over the speedlimit.

Try to find other fun ways to entertain yourself there are lots of other fun things that can be done without endangering others. For instance dress up like a 8 point buck during deer season and go walk around in afield......

Don't worry, all it takes is riding with Darwin once to make that happen.

Sigh... it really saddens me to hear stories like this, and I do hear them often, being in the insurance business. All those idiots out there don't realize that not only could they kill themselves and others, but they then put their families in serious trouble when the other party's family comes and slaps a million dollar lawsuit on them for the fatality.

I hardly get revved anymore now that I'm in the xD, and it is nice. Then again... all I did in the tC was drown them out with my stereo ^_^ that usually shut em up.

err some of the HOV info in this thread is wrong... it's between 7pm and 5am not 5am and 7pm, that means it's only ok at night, not during the day when traffic would actually be using those lanes.
