best song intro
YUP, it's time for another "deep thought" topic from Todd.
When I was in high school, I had a friend that was pretty quick witted. One time while cruising the gut, we were pulled over for his stereo being too loud. When the cop told him his music was too loud, my friend flatly told the officer that his music was so cool, that he thought everyone should be able to hear it.
My friend had a 75 T.A. painted a beautiful deep gun-barrel grey color, a top of the line Pioneer tape deck (FF and eject/same button) and his speaker system consisted of two full sized home stereo boxes set in the back seat. When he'd have more than one passenger, the loser of the "dibs" got the half cheek sized nook between the speaker boxes.
ANYWHO!! topic, (there is a point to this thread ya know)
I was listening to Iron Maiden on the way home this afternoon, bleeding my ears with that beautiful treble that the current generation has lost touch with, when I got to thinking about all the cool songs that had meaningful intro's to them.
My question is, what band do you think had the most memorable intro to a song. I'm not talking about part of a song that leads into the song, I'm talking a true intro. I'll give you a for instance..
Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast.
Motley Crue: Shout at the devil.
DIO also had a few, but cannot remember them, so I won't include them in my 6-pack thought process.
Anywho, what would your best song intro include?

Same scenario for me.. I got pulled over for my stereo being to loud and I was listening to Bone Thugs and Harmony 'Foe the love of money". I thought it was the coolest ticket I have ever got and still have it to this day... I will forever remember that song and the meaning behind that song

for some reason, both of those songs, everytime I hear them set me back to my college days when thigns were less complicated and the only thing I really cared about was my 75 chevy nova and getting stoned
