Caravan to Pandemonium

Caravan to Pandemonium
I thought we could start a CARAVAN thread so we all can meet up and roll in together. LETS TAKE RENO BY FORCE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hear there are some from SW Washington/ Portland, Oregon area that might be joining in on the fun. they "plan" to make it a 2 day trek, stopping here in Medford for a night.
Let me know if that is the plan. I have to be in Reno on that Thursday (19th) to help get ready for the show.
Here is the route I will be taking:
South on I-5 out of Medford to MT Shasta. take HWY 89 east until you come to a place called "OLD STATION" then take a LEFT onto HWY 44 (Feather Lake Hwy) towards SUSANVILLE. Just before Susanville take a left onto HWY 36. Just past Susanville it merges into HWY 395 which takes you right into RENO.
*note* this is also the same route my wife and I took when we drove to Vegas in 08. a few steep hills into the mountains, but a very beautiful drive. this route takes you right by Honey Lake.. HUGE LAKE!!!!!!
there's a few other routes.. do down to Sacramento and then cut over, but I've never been that way. I'd think it would take longer.
Found it on Google maps.
the other way is to take I-5 down to SAC then cut over. this adds about an extra 2 hours to the drive, but it's all main highways.

That's a great drive, the route you've planned out. Did it alot when my sister lived there, from Seattle to Reno would take about 13 hours with the usual bathroom/food stops. The Sacremento route is just friken' LOOOONG! I'd love to go to this, just not in the cards right now.

Well, wife and I decided that we need a vacation, so it looks like we will be making the trek to Reno this Aug. What is the planned leaving time from Medford??? We are planning on heading down Thurs. and getting a room somewhere, but could make the drive down very early morning on Fri., haven't decided that part yet.

I'm not sure what others here in Meddy are planning. I will find out, and try to get them to log on and post on this thread. I don't know if Kirby is going or not. he's had some issues with the tC runnin rich, and keeps dieing on him. something about a fail safe in the ECU.. if it gets fixed then he might go. one other guy for sure is going. not sure if he is going down on Thursday with me or Friday. others are still thinking about it.. Just waiting to see if the $$ is there or not.

FOR SURE: Myself, Buddy, John
MAYBE: Kirby, Kristine, Mike, and maybe 1 or 2 more.
I won't know the official count till about a week before. unfortunately I will be there a day before the rest of you so I will miss the caravan. BUT!!!!! WE ALL CAN CRUISE BACK TO MEDFORD TOGETHER!!!!!!!! maybe stop along the way for a photo shoot or something.
