Yeah, this is going to be great, hadn't even looked today, figuring no word until the weekend. Paperwork is already faxed in, just tell me when to be at the airport and I'm there. Miami, here we come.

argghh... now that i'm at work i'm scrambling to connect the dots to let me go... when i got here i realized that im scheduled to work dec 16/17...so trying to get rid/trade that shift for another weekend... then have to get the thurs/fri off

lol... ok.. think i got a taker for my weekend duty... now to get the other 2 days off... which i think shouldnt be too hard to do.. tho the 14th is the last day of a scheduled training class.... but that should be easy to ditch too...... hell some how i even have 5hrs of paid time off left.... lol

I remember having to fight for time off during the Holidays for years and years at PNB/US WEST until I finally had enough seniority and a good enough position to just say things like "I'll be gone the last two weeks of December and the first two of January - see ya! They don't have phones on the island yet. 
"
Hope you get the time off all sorted out. (See if you can get some 'comp time' off, too, so you don't lose anything.)

yeah.. i understand the senority thing... but sometimes it blows... 1/2-2/3 of the people still here dont want things to change...they are of the mindset of "i had to do it, so you should too"... so that sux
some how when i first hired on here... with less than 2-3 yrs senority i was able to get xmas/new years week off and 4th of july week off... like 2-3 times in a row... then a few times after that... was good thing about being in a smaller group..lol
