Exclamation FOG Light Opinion Needed!

Hello i have a 2008 tc flint mica in color; and i desperately need/want fog lights installed. I want to get the front bumper corner fogs.....but..... i have read on a site that the lamps vary pending the type of bumper you have. So i am hoping that someone here on SL can assist me with this. I do not want the hassle of buying the wrong size... if that is possible.

My tc is not a special release series either if that helps at all.

Short on cash hence the ebay thing.. but will most likely order through a reputable dealer

here are the fogs i want:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-07-08-...206865&vxp=mtr

Any advice will be helpful thanks in advance!

I think I ordered those when I first got my car back in 2006. It fits. I was and still a noob now but I just bought it, installed it, and it works. No modifications except that I put in HIDs. I didn't like the OEM fog lights because personally, they didn't look as cool as the corner ones.

Talk to Dustin (HOLLOWMAN69) or leadfootlarry as they both have them. Dustin might sell his soon depending if he goes with an aftermarket front.

I ordered them and I'm waiting in delivery should here by Thursday. I tend to like these better than the lower grill fogs. And when putting HIDs was there any adjustments that u had to do so u didn't get ticketed or blind the oncoming traffic?

Thanks again guys bi talk to hollowman69 soon.

So far I haven't been ticketed or anything, no one complaining so far. I might point them down a smidge lower just in case.

Kool. Eh and the fog I can cope with I can just takevtgem apart and clean them. No lip on the carbi wanted one but the tc looks great anyways. My problem now is finding the bulbs for it. I keep hearing about the nokya yellows. But I am not sure on it. Reason is that I'm OCD when it comes to my car so.... I would want it too look good but be able to see the road in the fog as well. I got the 8000k hid kit but unsure if yellow will throw it off or just look like all other tc's. I use to use piaa for my bulbs not sure if I should go back

On the over hand hid's sound like they would suffice. But would they not be too bright for rain and fog? Or does it depend on the kelvins.?

Not bad at all i might just go with PIAA bulbs they have yet to fail me. I have their High Intensity LED Bulbs for my parking lights. they put out a neat appearance.

Honestly, it's been so long since I've done mine I don't remember. I remember having to take out the fender linings and I THINK I was able to put in the fog lights and route the wires through the fuse box and use the switch. It's been soo long. There should be tutorials on Youtube and such. It's the only exterior mod (besides installing the pedestal spoiler) I've done.

I'll try YouTube again. It would just suck to have to pay a shop to do something to my car that I could do myself or pay someone who can do it cheaper because wires are not my thing. If there was another tc owner nearby me that didn't look the other way I'd ask them haha I'm desperate to get them in.

Reason why I'm awake in 5:05AM is because I have excruciating pain from the 4 wisdom teeth that been pulled lol. Anyway, these are for the corner fog lights. Hope this helps you my friend.

Heres a off the top of my head diy. Take off the splash guards underneath the front bumper, punch out the little plastic pieces that are currently in those vents, slide your fogs in and screw the mounts down to secure them. I wired it straight to the battery and just ziptied stuff til it was secure. Find the fuse for something that only lights up or turns on when the key is turned, headlights, dash ect. And stick the positive wire coming from the switch behind the fuse and just shove it back in. Ground the ground wherever you see fit (i cant remember exactly what fuse or ground i used but it wont be too hard to find). Hope this answers your question. Feel free to shoot me any questions

So I got the fogs installed no problems at all. However I do wonder why my fog light switch lights up when i turn the car on with the ignition switch... It does not matter really just curious on why that is.

So here is what came out after install and bulb change:

It lights up so that you can find the switch at night. Did you do the wiring mod so that it turns on and off with the car's parking lights? I didn't have those particular light but I had the VRD? lights. I believe they where the VRD/APT lights. I liked those because they were glass and where Ebay specials as well. They were a little more sunken in. So you can actually get a ticket for having fog lights? I would understand if they were modded to be HID but not halogen lamps. If you're curious about the parking light wiring mod it's under the DIY section of the tC1 forums.
