Default Happy New Years! Some Needle Pics

Not the best display I have seen from the folks that put on the show... but the scenery definately made up for it. Saw Sheep as well

Couple more pics before the event.

Plenty of people running around the fountain.

Busting out the 75-300 peeking at people at the Sky deck

What kind of camera is that again? Damb puts all my pictures to shame.
Did you have to go to school for that? We will have to make you official
event photographer, if we can get you to the events.

First of all, thank you for all the comments!

I was right in front of King 5 with a huge tripod and my camera, got a couple of calls from people saying they saw me My goal for the night was to get the display with the big Christmas Tree and the Pacific Scenic Center lit up, unfortunately, they didn't start changing the lights at the PSC until after the show was done. Darn them.

qrymson - I swear I saw you driving your tC around looking for parking when I drove up Denny Way. I beeped at sheep and a few other Scion's I saw driving that night.

Rigley - I got a Canon Digital Rebel *used* with the 18-55mm and 75-300mm USM III. One of my big goals for 2006 is to be more active in events and meets. I took a ton of pictures in 2003 and 2004 and came to just about every meet in a POS 80 Buick Skylark *AKA the Rusto*

Never went to school, all of this has been self taught over 8 1/2 years and finally getting to the level that I wish to be at. Next step will be a 12mp camera then a photography school for model photography and doing especialized photography such as aerial and boating. Keeping a wide area open to keep me busy during this summer.

I learned alot of fancy tricks with this camera and really has made me rethink photography on how it's done. Point and shoots are fun and simple but getting the harder shots like above while figuring out the shutter speed, f stop and the iso makes it a fun challenge.

I plan on being at the Thursday meet to see if I still have the touch on the cars....
