Default Help installing OEM Lip Kit?

Hello is there anyone around the Tacoma/Seattle area willing and able to help me install an Oem Lip Kit? I'm not handy enough myself with a drill and such and hate to pay to have a shop do it and possibly screw it up, so just looking for someone who is able to do a clean install on it, well let me know thx...

hmm, yeah I understand that there are diy's everywhere but from what I've read somewhere that the oem bumpers should have slits or markings on it that show where to make the cuts, I'm not sure if its just for the rear bumper or if its also for the front bumper either way problem is I looked underneath the bumpers and don't see any slits or markings at all where it needs to be cut so yeah I'm still confused there as well, but thanks for the advice....

I know there are some Scion members on the Scion forum in Washington and Oregon that do tech day and work for pizza and beer. I don't remember there screen name, but hopefully they see and get in contact with you

^^ Yeah it would be cool to get some help from fellow SL members in my area who have more experience than me with this sort of thing, I could always just take it to a shop but I'm hoping to find some help here on SL, hmmm I wonder if Kanchi, FLipmoob, BBSZERO maybe or anyone else in the PNW etc... and I would gladly trade beer and pizza for a little Scion love, so someone help a brotha out....

Ok so after looking over the instructions a little more carefully, evidently you do have to cut slots in bumpers, so has anyone just used only screws and 3M tape to secure their kit? but I want to make sure that it will be secure, so would this be a better route than cutting slots, or is it better to just cut the slots? I'm not so sure that in the future if I will keep the lip kit on or switch it up for something else....

Did you pull the bumper off there should be markings on the back side that map where to make the slots.....if anyone can install it it would be Kanchi....it is a pretty easy job to do a lip kit as long as ya got two people or a lot of tape to hold in place whil you mark it out....

quick update so I ended up taking my front and rear bumper covers off today myself, cutting slots out later but thanks to kanchi for offering to give me hand anyways, guess I'm too impatient to wait only installing the front and rear bumper lips right now still undecided if I want to install the gfx sides yet so I'll just be rocking the stock sides for now, I'll maybe post some pics up later of my progress so far....

^^ well getting the 2 bumpers off wasn't hard at all, I was never really concerned with that part of it, as far as cutting the slots goes I'm just taking it to a body shop to have them do it for me, I know I could've saved a few bucks by cutting them myself but I might screw it up so I'll just let a shop do it and its not too bad of a price, but I also got some VRD's also that I need to get installed, I had them already on my car before the lip but now with the lip I guess I need to figure out how to push them bad boys in without scratching anything, and I don't want to cut the lip so from what I've been told and read I can just use some tape around the foglight with a little force they can fit without having to cut, so wish me luck...

Ya know Pete is correct......I got a safty cone that says...Will work for Beer......and I also have a tshirt that says will sell wife for beer......not sure why I ended up single at 40....lol

The sideskirts are super easy, there are like 4 push clips on each side underneath, screw each end if I remember correctly and then you give it a small tug at the back with door open....then new skirt goes on in its place only much sexier looking...

^ hey man sorry for the late reply been kinda busy lately yeah overall everything went pretty good, got the front and rear lip installed, still debating on the sideskirts, the only thing that bothered me a little bit was the fitment of the VRD's with the Oem lip kit since I didn't care to cut the lip to make them sit flush there's just a little gaps here and there but I can live with it, overall happy but still a working progress....
