Yeah, I hope that some of the information is helpful, and that PPG suddenly figures out what their problem is (like "Uh, gee, we, er, forgot to mix in the ChromaFlair pigments. Oops!")
The information is now in the tech section for the xB under 'Paint' so that when someone needs it in the future it can be found.

thanks
Ive had this info since Steve at puyallup sent it to me and so has the shop.
its on the xb home page available to all
i think Thomas hit it on the head.
the shops have mixed 3R2 and think its Torched penny, this paint has been used on landcruisers and some Lexus's and for it, its a perfect match.
I think Toyota/Scion should have given the pennies a different paint code since Nippon paint took the 3R2 and tweaked it to get "Torched Penny" color flipping paint its no longer 3R2 which is still used. . I'm thinking PPG just thought the shop didn't know what they were doing and ended up mixing the same thing.
Victor ??? i noticed that touch up pens are available for 3R2 but there over 20 bucks compared to 6-8 bucks for other Toyota paints. ill bet that those pens have 3R2 paint in them and they don't flip either. prices were just changed for stuff already in stock because no one gets it that torched penny is 3R2 with extras. the one i looked At looked like my cars bad paint on the outside. also looked like it had been there a while ( before RS4 was released.
