What time are we going to meet? I assume we're going to meet at the gas station/truck stop again ...

Skywalker? You there? Hello?

This appears to be Skywalker's run, so I think that's when the answers need to come from.

Basing this on on last year's as far as times gives us a place to start - possibly a somewhat earlier start and uniformly earlier meet-ups at the various way-points would serve us a bit better (give us more time actually at out goal).

Who was going to assure a reservation at SeaQuest park? Someone volunteered to do that IIRC. Was it done? It is vital that we have a confirmed reservation or none of this works.

I just re-read the "planning" thread for this event, and it looks like we still have some holes to fill.

Shawn, I'm not the planner/leader on this, so I don't know, but I haven't been informed of any.

I have my own ideas on reasonable meet-points and times, but I'm waiting for something official.

Getting awfully close to the date, here...

OK, Here's where we stand:

The road to Johnston Ridge Observatory, and the Observatory opened eight days ago.

The Johnston Ridge Observatory WILL be open on June 8th, 10AM-6PM. Admission is $8 per person, kids under 15 are free.

As of RIGHT NOW, no reservations have been made for the one reservable area at Seaquest State Park. I need an answer RIGHT NOW, folks, about whether or not I should reserve it (reservation is about $60, non-refundable).

If you want to chime in on this, please do, but do it in the PLANNING thread over at https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...471603#3471603

If no one else is taking the lead on making sure this all happens, I will, but I need some consensus and I need it fast.

Move, people! The clock is running.

(I still get to drive in the tail position...) :D

If the Ridge opens at 10 am, we could meet at the parking lot that we met at last year a 0915 and leave at 0930, that should put us there around 1030 or so. I will call and reserve the covered area today, this will be my contribution to the picnic, if anyone whats to help out on that, it would be greatly appreciated. See everyone in a couple of weeks.

Kelly (MNScion) and Brian (BZinn1) - you two have said you will bring burgers and hotdogs in posts, but neither have put it in the sign-up list.

Update the list so we don't end up with either 300 or zero of each. :D

Anyone else: If you are planning to bring something to the potluck be sure it is on the latest list.

Thanks, everyone! :D

Thanks Tomas, I think Kelly is out of town this week, I have an email into her about something else, so, when I hear from her, I'll let her know to post up.

That's OK, Rick, we got it covered. As long as we know there's a hole, someone always pops up to fill it. :D

See you there?
