OK, last minute stuff - we will be leaving the Star Lake meet point ON TIME, so everyone please be there at least a few minutes early.

If anyone gets lost getting to Star Lake Park and Ride, please call one of us so we can help sort things out. If you need someone's cell number so you can call, drop them a PM NOW!

I'll have at least one extra walkie-talkie with me that I can loan to another car for the run. Ask me if you need it. We'll all be on GMRS/FRS channel 5 on the road...

Will be "at the Stump" Sunday the 17th...around 11 or 11;30,,
who all is gonna be there with me? and will someone stop in to lead me north..(I'm gonna be rather butt tired)

 

The Star Lake Contingent will meet up with you at the Smoky Point Stump. Should be pretty close to "on-time"...

If anyone who's going to be waiting at the stump want's to PM me a cell number I can call in our progress from the south when we get close (or if there is some delay).

Have my order in, will be leaving Kelso area around 0830, should put me at P&R around 1015, barring traffic and rest stops, dang coffee, lol. Will be cleaning up car tonight or very early in the AM so that its nice a shiny for bug slaying.

Hey everyone,

Just a note about the bug splatters. When I lived in California and Mississippi there were seasons that had tons of flying insects that would splatter and dry up on the paint before reaching your destination. We were able to remove the bugs easily using WD-40 and clean terry cloths. Any oily substance will do, such as cooking oil or Pam cooking spray. I will have a can of cooking spray on hand if needed.

T-minus 17 hours, 30 minutes!! Looks like a good turnout.

I think I'll nominate myself as lead car from Smokey Point if no one else takes the position. We go up that way at least a few times a year. The only concern is I'm not picturing the "weight station area" just east of Sedro Wooley that we'll group at. Any other hints? I've got it pulled up on Google maps but don't see anything like a pull-out.
