Well, I plan on making the drive up, but I would rather meet at the park and ride in Tacoma rather than start meeting down here somewhere. Maybe if a few people from Portland decide to go then we can meet somewhere down here, but with my bladder, if I drink too much coffee, it will turn into a rest stop tour, lol.

Yeah lets do Tacoma as southern meet up spot, then the Kent P&R for the next stop.

Lets see last year we had nearly 40cars was it,I know there was a lot of us.

We might want to have a couple of groups for safties sake, remember we almost lost 3 cars due to idiot cutting in at last minute at the exit and nearly plowing cars with his 4x4.

Sometimes too alrge a caravan is dangerous, should try to keep each group under 20 cars, also makes the final parking staging so much easier.

Last three times the next northern stop from you was about milepost 206 on I-5 - Smoky Point Rest Stop - just after I-405 and I-5 join up...

That would probably be the best spot for you to meet up - I fully expect we will use that location again.

The last meet spot has generally been the smokey point rest area, it has worked out great so far. When I mentioned Tacoma, I actually meant the Kent/Star Lake P&R (can never remember where that one is, lol). Don't want to stop, then drive 10 miles then stop again. Tacoma people can still meet in Tacoma, then head up to Kent. The farther away you are, the more stops you end up making and it turns into a tour of washingtons mall parking lot, lol.

Radios, get them on the charger now, lol.

(Joe's Sporting Goods is having a going out of business sale right now - mine has a bunch of FRS/GMRS walkie-talkies for sale - everyone should have one - the convoy will be on channel five.)

I'm sure Annie is looking at her calendar for a date that works.

Saturday or Sunday are both OK, we've done the Pizza Run on both in the past. It's just what works best for the most people, and does not conflict with some other event.

I'm guessing about a month out, might be less, though, if everyone can get things together and get everyone on-board in time.

Annie's Pizza Run III had two meet points up here in Washington: The P&R in Kent at around mile 142 and Smoky Point Rest stop at around mile 207. It worked well, and some smaller clumps of cars met up locally at various places to get to THOSE meet points.

Would May 9 or 10 sound OK to folks? That's a pretty short time, but I think we could do it if we all work on letting people know about it.

Have to see what Annie says, of course. :D

I'm peeking in here for a second .... my oh my!!!

May 9 isn't a good day because that is Concrete's Centennial and there will be people all over the place. (Altho it might be fun to join the parade..... wouldn't that be a kick? However the parade is at 11 a.m. and that would make it early for those southern Scions.) May 10 would be okay. Or the following weekend either day.....

I'm back to work now to deliver pizzas so I'll check back in tonight.

Annie

(PS.... but can't you just imagine my PizzaBox leading a pack of 50 Scions in the Concrete Centennial Parade?????)
