Smile Removing Front License Plate

Hey guys, I want to remove my front license plate when I get my badgeless grills, but I had a question. I talked to Tyler (optional) and he said that its very rare to get caught. But I asked my friend and he has a fixed up wrx and he says he removed it and got pulled over a twice within a month or so. I was wondering what your guys' input is considering the law (I heard the ticket is only like $50) and the likelyhood of being pulled over for it. Id want to put the plate maybe inside on the passenger side, but I think that is worse than not even having one off.

its gonna depend on where you live, where you drive and how much you gain attention.......it is hit or miss,at least in the dash you area trying to conform to the rules......most cops are fair and if you are cool to them they will be cool to you.....

haha yeah it all matter about what kind of person you look like to the cops. if you are a D-bag and act like they are out to get you, then that is exactly what they will do. just be nice and drive like a sane person and everything will be good.

well i'll tell you it is rare to get pulled over for no front plate but if they pull you over for something else they may tag it on to your other ticket....and it is much more then a $50 ticket btw. i just got done getting my tint, no plate, and exhaust dismissed with the help of my attorney. those three together totalled $474...the front plate one was, around $130 something if i recall correctly. so i would just keep a plate on there one way or another. oh and my attorney said that the front window trick for a plate does not work either and is still grounds for a ticket. just thought i'd add my $.02

Heheheheheh... If it really bothers you, I'll go ahead and split it out and MAKE it its own thread.

While I'm doing that, here's something else for you to look at...

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=199881

In there you will find a link to the actual state law on that...

Mine is in the window on passenger side. Been pulled over twice, no ticket. I had a bracket that was really cool, plate folded down and slid under bumper for show, but I didn't have it secured good and it fell off on the freeway at 60mph. Hate to have been the guy behind me. Linky to where I bought mine through, http://www.ninosport.com/Altec-Retra...00U-p/400u.htm

I suggest not removing your front license plate as I did that, but after a year or so started adding mods then got pulled over twice in one week for not having a front license plate. I lied and said that someone stole it lol.. the cop said if I was to make a call to so and so that would be what they would be telling me and I said yeah with a straight face. I got lucky both times and got away with a warning. I have my front license plate on my dashboard and never been harass since * knock on wood *

I got pulled over for it once, got a ticket for my tint instead, but that was 3.5 years ago? It was the day I put my wheels on.

Go figure, my tint is darker now and nothing since. *knock on real wood, not this ikea desk junk lol*

I got pulled over for being no front license plate twice while driving gf s car. The cop told me it's a 123$ ticket. I wud def keep it or relocate it. But since u hv holes on the bumper, y not leave it there and get a nice license plate frame instead? Just throwing my 0.02
