Scion Slam @ Fort Lewis, WA Sept. 8th

To all,
I found your forums when searching for Scion clubs in Washington State.
I am the events coordinator for Fort Lewis, just south of Tacoma. We will be hosting a Scion promotional event on 8 September, called the 'Scion Slam.' Part of this event is a custom car show, with prizes available in several categories, including Scion (military owner), Scion (non military owner) and Other. Prizes are $250 plus a trophy for 1st in each category and $100 for runner up. There is no entry fee.
We can provide post access passes to get non-military people onto post for the event - promotional materials will be available soon. Can you help me get the word out?

Thanks Benilda for posting the info up and helping to get the word out! I just got an e-male from Kate about this yesterday as well. I e-mailed her back to let her know that I got her e-mail and she was surprised and excited that she got a reply. CoreyAnn and I are working to get some promotional material from Kate and get all the details worked out! We will let everyone know if we find out anything.
This should be fun and cash prizes too. I know it is still far away, but anyone interested in going? Lets start a list.

I will be there.. What are the times for roll in and what time is the show? Is this show on the base and if so could we get the form early so that we don't have to spend a lot of time at the gate to get clearance.

Okay roll in is between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. Kate is not sure of the judging times yet as those will be determined by the Scion folks. There will be food, music and a basketball tournament on site.
To get onto base you will need to have proof of current registration, current license, and insurance. You will also need to submit your name and address to Kate and she can then get you a pass that you can place on your dash to let you on base. CoreyAnn and I can help facilitate getting her a list of who is going and addresses if that would be easier. We need to get this information to Kate one week before the event. She will also add the names for those who are going to a list that will be available to the gate guards.
