that is a bummer......something about a blowoff on an xB just seems sexy.....

Well that sounded dirty.....

Is it set right that could be the problem......thought the one you got was adjustable from what I have read about it.

well here's the long story - since you're interested lol

so i had it installed at Intec saturday. picked up my car & began driving home. Right as I got to the light to get onto the freeway my car died. After starting it back up and getting on the freeway i thought to myself that was strange. moving on, i get all the way home and as i approched each stop light or train track to slow down, my car died each time - making it around 3-4 times from intec home

so freaking out 'cause my car is dying all the time now - i called Intec and took the car back so they can look at it.

long story short, what is happening is that when the intake pulls in air, the mass air flow sensor reads that air & sends it to the ecu & so then the ecu tells the car how much fuel to put out. what was happening is that the bov was releasing all the air therefor flooding it with fuel making the car die as i slowed down. This only occured after freeway driving or boosting really.

This was how it was explained to me by intec so what we did for now is adjusted the bov so that it's harder for it to open and right now my car doesn't die anymore so that's good, but the bov isn't really doing anything. so as the days go on I will adjust it slowly until i get to that breaking point where the car dies & doesn't die.

sorry for the long story - it was a rather stressful day, but thankfully it wasn't anything major and was easily fixable 'cause having your car die at every light, sign or railroad tracks just sucked

Thats why blow thru MAF set-up is best at least on the tC. It can be worked around but you gotta tune it right. Sry you got probs bud! Try recircing the BOV. wont be as loud but should help. Or convert to Blow-thru which wont be to hard.

How is everythign by the way, with everyone?

there are a couple options available - i can either move the maf so that it is after the bov, or he said hks makes something that helps out with all of this as well - right now i'm just going to adjust the bov each day till i find the sweet spot where the bov is doing something & the car isn't dieing
