Default Through the firewall. Help

So I want to run some wires through my firewall. Does this look like a good place to drill and would i drill through any wires if i drill through here?

Or should I use this? This seems more difficult.

For my amp, I didn't drill any holes, I think I used something like in the second picture. But who knows I'm an electrician's nightmare.

no need to drill.......behind the glove box is one of the grommets and next to the steering wheel is another......carefully remove the black tape on both sides and push the wire through......retape when complete.....if you drill you will end up with a mess and possible damage to parts.

yeah there is tape on both ends of the grommet, once it is off you can get a lot through there.I got 4 14guage wires and a 0/1 through mine......I never want to push 0/1 through again though.....that was tough.

Alright here is what I do. I have an old arrow shaft that I cut down to 6" and I tape my wire with electrical tape to one end and push the other end through one of the rubber grommets (which ever side of the firewall you choose). It's easy to see, push through, and easy to pull from inside. So in closing go to a sporting goods store and find the cheapest arrow they have and mod it to work for you.

yes...thats where I ran my wiring....its gonna come out behind the glovebox.....to put it through the grommet, just tape your wire onto a long skinny screw driver and poke it through the grommet. then go on the other side and feel for the screw driver and take out the tape and pull the wire through.. TADA!

I like the sunroof idea.jk. I want to run it to the driver side because I have switches I want to connect it to. But the arrow idea sounds good. So there's tape on both side of the grommet?

If you go from the passenger side you will have to pull off the backing panel on the firewall....it is held on withthe two white plugs. Next cut small holes in it to run zip ties through and zip tie the wire to the piece then remount it to car ....nice and neat and wire all hidden.

Well then go through the one on the drivers side......it is much easier and you dont end up needing 6 extra feet of wire.
