Ooh, May is our anniversary. Maybe we should do this?

OT but mentioning it because you love trains. We decided that not only will our annual trip to that vacation hotspot, Wisconsin, be in December but that we'll take the train there. We're even going to get a sleeping room (so long as we can have the 5 of us in it as it's supposed to sleep 4). I'm pretty excited to travel this way. God knows we've driven to WI too many times and the plane isn't fun anymore.

Well, since you will be in that area check out http://www.milwaukee261.com/

They do trips regularly out and around Wisconsin

I haven't had a chance to take the Empire Builder from Seattle to Chicago but heard it's a to die for run! Especially since they did the big upgrade to the service.

Empire Builder, you say? I haven't done much more than just look up rates and dates online.

Unless you don't mind the minor hijack of your thread (or maybe PM me), I'd love to know what you mean buy them doing the upgrade to the route. And the Empire Builder to Chicago is what we're taking, (we'd be just getting off early in Minneapolis) right?

That train in that link looks awesome. We won't be there in June though. Usually we make the trip around the end of June, not December, so maybe I'll keep that in mind next year and see if it works out.
