Wow Nick that looks really good! I can't wait to see the finished product... How much have you invested so far?

I've been itching for a project lately since I sold the tC... but man that requires, like, money. And time. Neither of which I can spare now

well i purchased the car for 2500...spent 600 to drive there and get it. so that is 3100. the seats, well lets just say i know some people that know some people and i got them for 900 shipped. so thats 4k. then i just spent 2900 on motor and tranny so that is 6900now.

i have bought all the expensive things now. just some cheap 5 spoke wheels for me and then powdercoat them white. oh my carbon fiber roof is like 400+150 shipping so tahts 550...anddd my six point harnesses will be around 500 total...so yeah all in all when im finished i think i'll have about 10-12k invested in the car. then after that is is pretty much just changing little things here and there to what ii like and what i want....AKA SPOON EVERYTHING

Nah dude, you've come too far to get cheap wheels. Everything else is so nice. Finish the look with a nice set of Work or Ray's wheels! You won't regret it! :D

As long as the wheels rotate and are small and reasonably light, I think you should get them... I'm so not a brand-junky anymore...

The idea of Takata harness in that hatch kills me, with their ~400 dollar price tag (EACH!) .. but they do look nifty!

yeah but i buy spendy wheels and then bend/break them on the track, i have to spend more money on an expencive wheel...where as i can buy some fake spoon wheels or something and break four of them for the price of one of erik's time attack wheels, although they are sexy, cant see spending the money on them just to break them!!!

yes tim and i need six point harnesses, but if you know some people who know some people, you can find takata harnesses for around 200 a harness

that and i looked around at harnesses and there are not really any others i like...i like the bright green lol.

maybe i'll find some wheels for daily driving but for the time being, its going to be some cheap, fake spoon wheels because by the time i get to wheels, i'll be poor lol!!

Well I have friends who autocross and road race and they had volks and blah blah blah and they break them left and right, they now use rotas for track weeks and break one a season where as they break or bend 3-4 a season..

Let's do money math....

1 rota 75 bucks
1 volk 200-300ish

Yeah cheap wheels FTW!!!

never had issues breaking wheels... lugnuts on the other hand... i have broke... and worse yet. last weekend out at bremerton i loosened all lugnuts and on the last one i broke the wheel lock key... luckily there was a subie guy that had the same one or i woulda been screwed. but if you are lookin for lightweight and cheap i would go for these.

http://www.flyinmiata.com/images/mis..._k1R_white.jpg

you can get em for under 100 bones and the 15X7's are like 11 lbs or something like that.
