HeHe... I love the single cam lil' setup...

Me, with the DOHC 2.0 turbocharged JDM fun... Think I've found the car too... 500 bucks! (I'll have to start my own non-scion build thread) - Good Ol' Scionlife. I have to get my total post count up more! I need 5500!

mini-me = d series SOHC non v-tech block (in this case d15b7) + d series SOHC v-tech head (in this case d16z6). end result... higher compression and v-tech... why do this and not just buy a d series motor w/ v-tech??? frankly we are going to have a prime motor with a bunch of new parts for hundreds cheaper than if we bought a z6 out right. and we will see way better gains from boost... yay for compression. end compression is gonna be upwards of 11 to 1. so we are fortifying a few places in prep for the turbo before we put the motor in. and as far as running it on e85 is concerned. that will probably come with the turbo as e85 is equivalent to 105 octane unleaded gas as far as its resistance to detonation. so that is how we are going to counter the high compression and boost.

Amen Brian! Having a garage is the best thing ever! I don't think I'll be able to live without one ever again, especially not married to this guy.

I had a '92 VX w/ the d15 block w/ the d16 head & chipped ecu. Was fun until it went off of 405...
