Gah, so I slid into a bus. No damage to either, it was a mere .5mph if that but it happened. The rest of the drive was a lot of fun, power sliding around parking lots.. good stuff. However I forgot to get my SD Card, so no pics

Okay gang...
Talked to my mom who took 4 hours to get home from downtown Seattle to Lake Tapps (she didn't listen to me when I told her not to go to work..."told ya mom"). She said that she was one of the last few to make it up Lakeland Parkway because too many people were getting stuck at the bottom (she actually saw people slowing and so she gunned it and went down the middle of the lane so that she didn't get stuck).
With that news...I went outside and checked...now that the snow has just stopped....
Lakeland has 5 inches!!! And I measured in several places. I'm betting no school tomorrow for Mo's work but they are crazy and have stayed open in conditions like this before...we'll see.
Otherwise...to those students in Sumner, Federal Way, Tacoma, Fife, Bellevue, and Issaquah who are already getting the day off...
SNOW DAY!!! WOO-HOO!!!

Our local schools are closed. Its still snowing here. Weve got probably about 4 inches. I love the weather men around here. Always off on the timing of these things. They said all day that there wasnt really going to be more snow. It was more just that anything on the ground already was going to freeze. Oh well! Im just getting frustrated having been in the house the past 3 - 5 days and being to sick to really do anything. I wanted to atleast go to redmond to go shopping cuz im dying of boredom

Sounds like almost everybody beat me in the snow totals. It didn't snow much more after the pictures I took. In my area there is 1-2 inches... 1.5 at my house.
School is on a 2 hour delay... my boys are gonna be awful upset and I was looking forward to subjecting them to slave labor around the house all day long.

You, sir, are a heathen
I lived in Alaska until I was 15 and my parents retired from teaching and moved to WA.
So.... when I say I hate snow, I have the experience to back it up.

Well don't hold back, Doug. Tell us how you REALLY feel.
Not as bad as I thought it would be over in Bremerton. The roads, however are really deceiving with all the melted ice that has re-melted. I tried to get out of my neighborhood and pretty much went down my hill at an unexpected angle. O_O Scared the bajeezus out of me, and I couldn't drive it back up so I had to ditch the tC on the side of the street about five minutes down from my house.
They better salt and sand the neighborhoods, or else *gasp* I won't be able to get to work today.
