Sorry to hear this. Have you checked to see if your insurance covers it? Hope everything works out for ya.

Sucks man, I hope you get them back.

As for wheel locks and alarms they are good preventive measures to have but anything can be worked around if they really want your stuff they will get it. My first mod is always an alarm, but even then people have messed with my cars.

Just heard from the insurance again today!! Looks like their going to cover everything!! I get the full amount plus more for what I paid for the wheels and tires and my car is going to be re-painted. Feels a little better now but I MISS my WHEELS!!! Instead of using the money to buy different wheels im going to invest in something else. I'm 100% sure that the people who ripped me off will be back

Sorry to hear about your car, I've seen you around a few times and your ride looked real clean. At least your insurance is taking care of you. I've been in your shoes before too and know how it feels to get jacked. The guys who did it definitly knew what they were doing. Hopefully those punks get caught.

I'd recommend an alarm with a tilt sensor and a remote transponder.

Sorry to hear about the theft and damage, always sad to see a Scion in trouble like that.

Just for info, what brand/style wheel locks did you have? (So I can cross them off my list.)

Honestly, wheel locks don't mean anything. They can be broken. In March of 2007 my car was in a shop getting wheels on & the lock for my lugs fit the lugs on the Ferrari 430 in the shop.

I agree with you there, wheel locks don't really stop anyone from really wanting to steal your wheels. I don't even trust my own wheel locks, but it gives me a little piece of mind that I do have some sort of secruity.

(A friend of mine used to have four different brands of wheel lock on each wheel - still lost his wheels.)

dang dude that sucks about the rims i read it this morn before i went to work but one thing that gets me is no one in your hood seen anything that was not right like hmmmmmm maybe a car or truck that was just hanging around and if it was in your driveway out in front of the street wouldnt some one notice and maybe hear something it must have been like what 4-5 people doing it. Doesn't your area have like a neighborhood watch???

well all i know is our rims match up with the same lug patteren as an Sti so i would keep a close eye on those also or maybe even some other scions unless they were sold or shipped out of town.

But that is cool that your insurance is going to pay for everything.

3 guys can pull off wheels in under 10 minutes dropping it on blocks and then pulling the valve stems....air goes out and car is now up in air.......wheel locks are only keeping honest people from stealing our wheels.

file a police report and make a claim, might even file under homeowners instead?
