yup. I am super proud of this article. It took about three month of on and off research and formatting and just plain arguing with myself about the top 100 and I'm already changing my mind on a few!!!!!
I'm trying to get to 100 comments so all your words are welcome. Heck I'd love to see someone try to come up with thier own list and post it!

My only disapointment was no Raymond Loewy design on the list - something like the '53 Studebaker...
(And did I miss the Beetle?)
Nice write-up.

couldn't leave the (old) Beetle off the list! Pretty cool car in my opinion. Also had the Thing and the Microbus!
And Tomas - Raymond Loewy was a true genius when it comes to design but I have always been way more partial to his trains than his cars. His cars are neat to be sure but they (to me) were more of a study in form than a blending of form and function. They also seemed to be a holdover from the art deco period and a a few years past thier time I think. The trains were to be sure a study in form but they represented more than the cars to me. They were powerful, streamlined and while still had heavy art deco infulence, brought trains out of an era of clunky large machine with no thought to form to one of modern reform and classic art.

Understood. When I lived back in NJ while working at Bell Labs, I was thrilled the few times the engine pulling the cars from Matawan, NJ to NYC was one of Lowey's classic GG1's. The beast was absolutely beautiful, and spit-shined to within an inch of it's life.
