Default your best memory at a scion event or meet.

this may be long, but i started thinking about some of the fun stuff i have done and been through since joining sc.

for me the best part since joining this crazy space called Scionlife has to be finding a lot of really great friends.

being at various shows including formula drift.

i have met some of my best friends and some of the greatest people through this site.

like for instance jason (clokwerck) and his buddy bryce (now by-proxy my bud)who instantly through "haterdom" towards the auto snobs united with, i the lord of the haters. forming a Voltron like entity of hating....... lol. still some of my best friends.

jk and running into people like mike (vip xb2!!!),curtis ( = awesome), cj (who still supports the scene even though he may be driving a different whip.)

nasty nate (now rolling the ae86) insane and perverted in the best of ways, the enigmatic Giovanni and his strange and quiet friend who kind of never says anything but his silence sometimes speaks volumes good or bad...

mike and jenn (sorry i missed your party) but they managed to make it to meets here in seattle.

lead foot larry and his really rad driving gloves. that crazy chick in the green monster tc who tried to race me during a funeral procession.
(awkward)

shortbus_8 thanks for the invite to ferndale btw. lol

dodaddy and his eye opening tc. (still sorry dude)

and last but not least the "BIG Z" or as you know him kanchi! who has a heart as big as a bulls ******* during a rut......lol. your one of the best people here dude. and one of my best buds. truly one of the few people here who can hang in an automotive conversation....

and seeing people here do what they do...

basically if it weren't for the people that i meet here and there through forum goings i wouldn't have even bothered sticking around to see what all you crazy fools are up to each week.

probably would have been spending time racing the kids at wallmart in lynnhood still getting in trouble..... again..........

so speak up and lets hear some of your experiences. or not... hopefully yes.

Well if thats how you're gonna roll...

Oy favorite memories...I'd have to start off with my first M&G @ Lake City Dicks following Shawn before the paint job, the Scion after party @ SEMA last year watching Foth & Mike Ma get udderly trashed to the point they couldn't get off the couches..., Brock Peeing in the corner @ the Seattle M&G, having 28 (I think it was) 1st gen xB's @ the Marysville M&G (including a meet where we got a 4 of the 1st gen release series), the release party for the 2nd gen xB @ the Gladstone dealership where we won a sunroof install for Bethany's xB, the Seattle M&G where I installed Bethany's new wheels and everyone was laughing because it looked like I was jacking them

As far as the people...well alot have come and gone and it kinda sucks to think back on all those that don't come around anymore but such is life. I value the time we had but also look forward to meeting new people as well kinda sucks that way but oh well...

Past:
Noah...hands down miss that guy, Erik Getty (I still remember YOU breaking that radiator ....& I didn't lose your dog *Cough* C3 ), Everyone that dosen't come to the Marysville M&G anymore, Brock being local, of course Corina....damn..., and many other that I can't think of off hand becasue I have to go to work.

To those that are still around...keep it up...Scion is nothing without this right here, community!

Okay so I don't have a crazy picture to really put up there, that one with the bird is rad lol. My best memories of any meet or any other social Scion meet is the friends I have met even though I haven't been able to make it to many meets recently. Pete (alienvictim) and Eric (Kanchi). And the various other things I have been able to be involved in due to this community, it's been awesome, and I hope that it continues that way, and I will try to make it out to more meets lol, I promise.

I've had alot of great times and met alot of great people thru this site. Meeting Darren and Troy from SL, driving up to Z as he was getting gas at the Chevron in Kalama in the work truck all trashed out and saying, "Hey, nice ride, what springs are you on?", remember that Z, lol, got the wierdest look, who is this jerk in the POS Ranger, lol. The people that work or have worked for Scion, you know who you are, Kelly, Victor, Josh, Steve, Jen, Bobbie, all great people you would want to know.
The events that I've been very fortunate to attend over the last few years have been off the hook, where do I start with them. Meeting and having drinks with some of the bigwigs from Scion at the Arizona Biltmore when I was there for the Scion Release fashion show and golf tournament which featured rappers Mike Jones, G-Unit, Wu Tang Clan, Master of the turntable Grand Master Flash and MC'd by Jeremy Pevins. The Scion at South Beach event in Miami, which had Rainn Wilson and Ludicris performing, where I got so drunk I don't remember the bus ride back to the hotel and was hung over most of the next day for my flight back home. And there was this little event in the desert just over a year ago, four days in Vegas at a luxury resort, hanging with owners from all corners of the states and seeing my car in the commercial when it was released. And that was where I found my new car.
Yeah, you could say Scion has been very good to me.

I'd have to say mine is the first M&G in University Villiage, everyone was nice and open(no haters).... well maybe pete lol jk. Sure I got made fun of for having stock springs hehe, but it was palyfull not hating.

I'm greatful for the people I've met there and on Scionlife, I'm glad I got to meet Erik, Brock, Pete, Mike, Nate, and all of the others (you know who you are ) lol. You all make the M&G's fun and interesting and I always look forward to the next one!

It was my first M&G in Marysville. I hadn't had my XB long, and Mike Massey from Rodland told me about these crazy groups of people that max out modding thier cars. Huh? Imagine that? I went to the M&G and there was like the whole contingencies of Team Ascention & Ballistik's there, and some FanTAStic Cars.. Meeting for the first time some really cool people,Brian and Cindy, Doug, Chris, Kekai, Kanchi and many more. Some of you, I see often enough that I think we've become pretty good friends.. which is outstanding.

Where do I begin - sucks I'm here at work so I won't be able to say it all.

Events: I will "NEVER" forget about Scion United in Vegas. There are far too many things that happened there from getting engaged to emergency surgery. I never got to go the actual event, but the mere fact of being there in spirit I won't forget. All the old original meet & greets. My first meet & greet meeting KK, Victor, Allie going to Shari's that night & ending the night drinking at KK's house & watching skin a max. I will never forgot that time. Will always love Forumla D, all the Scion Exposed (even though I never win anything at them lol).

People: I miss the OG's -plain and simple. I love the old times & there's nothing more to say about that.. You guys know who you are and I miss how much fun things were, how there was no "Drama" at all - no bias, no hard feelings towards anyone, no division within the community, When the community actually felt like a family - that's what I miss. I have made great friends along the way & have lost some as well (for whatever reasons I will never know). Those who have stuck by will always be my friends & forever will appreciate it. I will never forget the Scion representatives along the way - Kelly, Victor, Bobbie, Alex, Steve - always fun to see them and be around them. If it wasn't for them, most of the the Scion community activities locally would not occur. I agree with Erik too, I miss Noah, I miss Dougzilla and I miss Chris (blackbox06) & his kids. I know people move onto other hobbies or responsibilities, but I don't feel that people should move on from their friendships. I miss the times with Erik & Bethany and wish Robbiej lived closer =) Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great memories I have from people within the community - Nate's crouch cam, Eating at Bob's burger w/ Erik, Bethany & her sisters (while having a great conversation), camping w/ everyone in Idaho in the cabin, camping in Idaho at the camp site with Dustin & Shaun seeing those two drink till they couldn't walk anymore, watching Tim not drive his tC up a dirt road while Nick, myself, Dustin & Shaun cruising right up there, hanging out w/ Benilda & Leslie making funny pictures on the roller coaster in Idaho, winning my first trophy @ HIN, drinking at KK's house, photo scavenger hunt and the list goes on & on.

I will agree with Erik that the Marysville M&G was awesome when we rolled deep w/ boxes & had folks come down from Canada & had one of every release series - that was a great day. Marysville is always my fav. m&g 'cause of the people that go there & then going into the casino afterwards for grub. The m&g's at Dick's in lake city would be my next fav, love all the jokes & comments that arise(no pun attended) from those ones

Scion as a whole has given me soooooooooooo many memories that I will never forget. I have met some of the greatest people - in fact if it wasn't for Scions or car shows, i would have never met my wife & my true friends...

No offense to the new guys have joined the community as I am very glad (as a o.g.) to see the community grow & grow. That's a great accomplishment to see more people added to the community & that care about their car & the people, but I do want the old member back.

I want it back to the way it was back before all the car club drama occurred, before people began separating into clicks or groups. That's what I want & those are the memories I will forever hold onto.

Well put Shawn, but I can't believe you didn't say anything about your Vegas trip, I mean really, toothache, miss all the partying, lol. But the best thing came out of that trip, your proposal to Kelly.

O.G. rules....

My first paragraph was about vegas - propsoal & emergency surgery =)

But you're right - United I missed, but everything leading up to it & all the aftermath from surgery will be remembered (well from what i can remember after the surgery - which isn't much)

^Could not have said it better...QFT!!!

There is a lot of stuff that was really awesome, and lets be honest will probably never happen again, but I like to believe there is always fun and possibly better down the road! People come and go but its the ones that stay are the roots to make the n00bs bloom! Take me for instance I starte here in the summer of 06 that makes me like a release 2.0

my best memories are yet to come........I have enjoyed the last two years of being able to build the car........build on everyone elses cars too......

I have enjoyed the shows the least......the amount of work involved to get a car ready is painfull.......lol

I love the meets and gettign to meet all the new people ......and see once again all the old timers, which i am probably one of now.....lol

The great friendships we have all made are what I really enjoy......my phone is full of so many peoples numbers I can call and talk too and that is a great thing to have friends......

I have enjoyed the look in my wifes eyes when I tell her I bought a new part today,or your interior is in the bedroom,or taking your motor apart,or just about got enough stuff to install the stereo, when the pile of parts is already 3 feet high........lol......how it all fit is beyond me.........but I know she is proud to drive her car.

Scion has treated us all very well........remember I ended up buying one because Honda would not even give me a test drive in the Si.........and now I am glad......

We all have seen people come and go......get new cars....get in accidents.....we have shared friends and family members passign away........we have shared people gettign married.....people having children.......car clubs coming and going.......what a fun few years it has been.

okay. to hell with this thread.

I dont wanna seem all sissy lame -o but I actually just got choked up a bit. The scene has been a huge part of my life for a very long time, since 2004 to be exact and i am so greatful; and happy for everything that has come of it.

you guys mean the world to me, even if at times it doesnt show.

And as of right now, I know the new guys are great and dont know me from sunday but I ask that each of us take a second and smile at the OG's here there or anywhere, cause they rock, they know it and its been one hell of a ride so far!

TIM, SHEEP, CLIF, MACSTER, KEKAI, KANCHI, GETTY, BRIAN, ALLIE, VICTOR, STEVE, FOTH, SEAN JOHN, me, TROY, DARREN, TOMAS, SHAUN, SHAWN, EVETTE, HOTBOXN, LOUIE, AZNJ, KEV THE REV, NIKSMR2, GIANNI, ANDERSG (glen), RIGLEY, JASON.................
