A big thank you to Kirby and that SE dude with the rims named after him for coming up with the idea of this weekends past Unity BBQ, Kick Back, Unity Fest, or whatever they want to officially call it. There was a softball game, no basketball, and I was waiting for Kirby to "hide" the whole day so no one would seek him. And there was a whole lotta eatin'. Good weather, food, and good company. Thanks to Scion Image, SDG, Marvelous Scions, Team Descent, Alpha Squad, Team XcelsiA, Quality Toyz, Scinergy, SESD, SEHD, and SE So-Cal. I have to mention the people who were there early to set everything up: SE So-Cal members Martha, Jason, Andy, Martin, and I can't frikkin' believe Nilo was there before myself and Andy. I'm trying to remember if Mike N. and Wes was there upon our arrival. There were people who attended with no club affiliation; thanks to Mike f/ Brea/Whittier, Mark and Joanne with family for showing up.

Then Scion Image showed up....and they came to playsome softball! Talk about hardcore.


If their numbers weren't intimidating enough, they were all even warming up!



I think Tommy from Quality Toyz was asking Jerry from Scion Image about throwing the game.


Writers note: I would have more shots of the actual softball game but someone *cough* NILO *cough* wanted to borrow my truck even though I told him I need to pick up my niece in CARSON at 11:00am. He said he wouldn't be gone that long because he was just going down the street to pick up some supplies. I asked an additional person to go with him to speed things up and gave him my keys at 10:20 am. So 3 people left with my truck and the frikkin' rat bastard comes back at 11:45. WTF?!?!?! So I take off, fight traffic to Carson, drive back to Anaheim Hills, I'm almost there and my phone rings. The bastard then asks me to stop by the store to pick up more supplies....I'm thinking you damn @$%#%&)*$%!#!%$^$%&^ you make me late and then you want me to stop by the store to pick-up stuff? Like the other 30 people around you there can't? He finishes telling me what to get .....wait....I'm getting off track here.....sorry.

I get back just in time to see the ending of the softball game so there are not too many shots. Since SE did not have enough players to play Scion Image as a whole, I was told they combined Quality Toyz, SE, and Alpha Squad into one team. So it was like SI vs. the world (called Alpha Quality Evolution or something like that.)

As lunch was winding down, the rim dude called for everyone to announce SE's Nick Villegas' b-day. We got him a one-off pinata that best describes him and a cake.



SE's Wes was so overwhelmed with joy he wanted a ride from Nick. After this shot, he turned around and rode Nick backwards for an hour.

SDG's Tiffany ran away from the food area after I innocently asked what she was doing around all the chips. She ended up by herself on the swings.


Meanwhile, a volleyball game broke out:


After SE's Paul hit the ball for the first time (it wasn't pretty), SE's Julian called "SUB" and took him out in disgust.


It's been said a family that plays together stays together. Evelyn and her little bro....trying hard not to look asian.

SE's Mike Nguyen saw a gopher hole and decided to plug it up without using his hands.

And then continued to show his appreciation for the picnic by showing Kirby and the rim dude what they can have for all their troubles on making this a great event.


And even a member from Scion Image wanted to give appreciation to them.

Screw you Ed!!!!!! LOL.....Actually no one told me about the group shot. I would've been there. lol. I had a lot of fun at the event. Pretty much all I can say. Thanks everyone that came by and had fun. I didnt even eat dinner that night because I was so full. Andy and Art, thanks for man'ing up the grille. Nilo thanks for pickin the spot and reserving the diamond for the softball game. Lets do this again real soon.
