I'm really not sure. Xbboy aka Nilo knows that part. I'll email him this link and let him explain.

Im familiar with those retarded union workers. What they would do is send a few guys (managers or something) to check out vendor booths and car club booths. They would look @ the size of your booth and then figure out how many union workers you need to break down the booth for you. They didn't care that you had an army of 100 guys, they forced their workers to help you break down your booth. And each union worker was about $80 an hour i believe that the vendor or car club had to pay. When they came to islands booth, they said we needed 2 or 3 workers to help break down our booth. We just said "ok sure" and when he left to go get his guys; with awesome help from SE, we broke down our booth crazy fast and left the convention center before the union workers could come.

To sum it up, the union workers are dicks and such a pain in the ___!

Yup that is true what Matty said... I just went to a show in LA Convention center the past weekend. Some guy came up to me and said you guys need help. I was like no its ok cuz we have 3 guys. But he said no we have to have a minimum of one union worker helping you out. I was ok whatever and they charged us around $100/hour to have him screw in some bolts. I'm like wtf. anyways it sucks.....

STAY AWAY FROM HIN/NOPI WHICH IS ACTUALLY NOPI. HIN has no involvement in this. people are still owed money from HIN.

Is it like that for all the HIN/NOPI shows? I was planning on going to the Chicago show but if it gonna be a huge hassle I'll just stay at home and save money for the fall Import Alliance meet.

What I said is not in regards to the event HIN/NOPI..... which will be lame for sure haha. But in regards to their location choice of LA Convention Center.
