Default i got my recall letter...

I live in cali cand i have the injen CAI, my tC is getting recalled because of the moonroof and they said they will fix the moonroof. I am just wondering... Will I still have warranty if they see it? so should i remove the intake before going to the dealer to get it fixed?

lol .... of course they will fix it !

Warranty only voids if they catch the mod you put to defect the issue.

If the hood magically opened on the highway going 65 mph and the bolts happened to unscrew and your intake goes flying and hits your moonroof then yea thats when they will say nope cant fix it.

what could more realistically happen is thatthey will note what mods you have on your car and if you happen to come in some time in the future for warranty that COULD berelated to such mods, they will have it noted and could possibly use it to deny that future claim.

all depends on your dealership, of course

Even though I don't own the car anymore I got my recall notice in the mail this weekend. I forwarded it on to the new owners.

I would want to know why they opened my hood to add an applique to my panel....

They shouldn't give you any crap about warrenty... shouldn't even open your hood for that matter...

No...don't worry, they would never do that, now if they find a dead body in your trunk, then yes, they will call the cops.

shattering moonroof in freeway going 65 mph or higher. when a particle hits the wind deflector, it can shatter the moonroof, causing serious enjuries or a fatal accident. most of 04 and 05 tC's ans some 06. if u get a letter then you should go to your dealer to get it fixed for free.

Yeah, I stopped doing that after the first time I took it in, because my roof had a nasty wistle, they fixed it and it hasn't come back. I always see tC owners in the freeway with their roofs open and I bet these are the people that have the most problems and complains with their roofs.

You might as well just ignore the recall sent by toyota since you are so smart. Yeah, all the sunroof problems are because those people aren't as bright as you are.
