Car show format enough for me to stay home. But I'm not affiliated with any club, and the promoters have structured the event in such a way as to flip a huge bird to any independent, so I don't think they'll shed any tears over any absences.

Serously tho, the car show and the rules are enough to keep me and a certain few people I know away from this event.

Can you please explain to us why this is not a normal car show, open to everyone, like it has been for the past 2 years? Wasn't the point of Scion Corporate putting on the event to unite everyone together as a community rather than segregate us by clubs?

Whatever.

Huh?...like XBBOY said all this has been done before, why do it again..you can win individual awards at dealer shows, best just to those to win a trophy !!

The show part on this meet is secondary to the M & G and the party atmosphere and the fun inside the park...if you really want to win a show and your car is all that, maybe you really should think about going to HIN or the other major car shows.

You don't have to go if you don't want everyone has choices...my .02

This meet was never intended to make the car show portion the focal point of the event it is just 1 of many activities planed by Scion for it's owners. the show last yer was for individual awards, this year however it is for the team and clubs that mave contributed a great deal in the branding and marketing of Scion. I'm sure next year it will be different again.

It is hard to please everyone all the time, all we can do is try...thanks for your understanding. Peace.

I took myself off the list. I didn't realize that this year was going to be a joke.

It really sucks for us individuals who have spent a lot of time and money into our cars and who'd rather not join the drama of a car club. I was really looking forward to this year's Scion Knott's Scary Farm, because the last two years were a lot of fun!!! But now what's the point if myself and others like me can not even display our car/ideas/hard work for the thousands of other Scion owners going?

It's very lame and disapointing. :/

Hey guys, I never had the time to make it out to Scion Night, but this year I can, yay! Anyhow, what's the recommended time to arrive? Will there possibly be more than 2000 scions there? I wanted to know because I might arrive later in the evening. Thanks!

 

Although we try to please everyone that attends the event, we relize that we cannot. The rules this year were done off of request by numerous Scion owners. Not everyone has a fixed up Scion and not everyone likes to show thier car, we wanted to develop a program where everyone could participate in deciding the winners. To avoid any cheating a bipartisan will be keeping close watch over all ballot boxes.

Although two spots doesn't seem like a lot, every club also has to decide upon the two cars that might represent them. Just because you have a car club, it doesnt mean that you automatically get a spot. Just like the independent category, the finalists are decided by Scion. A club like SE has a huge number of members, but even with the size of thier club, they can only submit two cars to be considered for the finals.

Scion owners are a unique group of owners whom are supportive of one another and cheer for each other to do well. It's because of this, that we work very hard to provide events such as these.

If you still would like to be part of a car show, we have set aside 250spaces for a fun non competitive car show, just make sure you are there early to get a great spot.

We hope that you will be able to attend the event, becuase there are a lot more activities happening that day that don't just revolve around the car show.
