easy, step one...pull out waterfall step two...paint waterfall...step three...install once dry

jk but seriously, i just had a local shop spray mine real quick, cost me 50 bucks to do waterfall, gauge bezel, and the pieces on the door that you grab all in gloss black, i did the satin black on the inside of the waterfall to give it a nice two tone look, just be sure to clean off any cleaners/shine products you have used on it, best way is a paint cleaner they sell at at parts store, then scuff and shoot. also be sure to tape off the part around the hvac control **** so that you still see the cold to hot markings

heres mine:

Just scuff it. take the back of a sponge brillo to it and lightly scuff it.

I would also recommend using some type of undercoating to fill in any texture you might have. Like a Primer of sorts. All stuff you can get at an Autozone type place.

NO sanding!!

Just use Mineral Spirits to clean & dry completely.....

I tried using clearcoat...that messed it up!...

for the waterfall i used Krylon Fusion black paint for plastic. and the trim around the shifter and gauge cluster i used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric black paint. but man i've been laggin it on resanding it and repainting what came out bad but what came out good looks nice just not to glossy as how i wanted it to come out.
