everyone should save their money. there is no need to run 100 octance and it would just be a waste of money. might be a different story if your running a high boost application.

SC out of the box, i would say no. but it will give you some peace of mind from detonation.

6-7$ per gallon x 5 is not too steep for 1 day worth of fun.

if you're rolling a stock motor, it's really wasteful and costly.

Now if you're F/I, Nitrous, High Compression, it can really benefit you at the track.

I updated the 1st post in the thread, then it went into the regular list, so I hit the "!" and asked for it to be put up top again, don't know anything else.

AvGas is not one type of gas, it's fuel that is formulated for airplanes, there is usually 87 and 100LL/LowLead. and usually JetA. You do not want to run 100LL in a car with 02 sensors or a Cat, it will destroy them in time. Also you do not want run Jet A in a car, in an emergency a diesel only.

Unleaded 100 octane should pose a very low risk to your o2 and cat, and yes for stone stock applications, it is a waste.

But you should also know that with alot of nitrous, any chance of avoiding detonation is worth a few extra bucks a gallon at the track.

Remember UNLEADED, never put LEADED race gas in your o2 sensor and or Catalytic Convertor equipped vehicle... unless it's an emergency.
