AvGas is not one type of gas, it's fuel that is formulated for airplanes, there is usually 87 and 100LL/LowLead. and usually JetA. You do not want to run 100LL in a car with 02 sensors or a Cat, it will destroy them in time. Also you do not want run Jet A in a car, in an emergency a diesel only.
Unleaded 100 octane should pose a very low risk to your o2 and cat, and yes for stone stock applications, it is a waste.
But you should also know that with alot of nitrous, any chance of avoiding detonation is worth a few extra bucks a gallon at the track.
Remember UNLEADED, never put LEADED race gas in your o2 sensor and or Catalytic Convertor equipped vehicle... unless it's an emergency.
av101 isnt leaded ll is low leaded and is marked at the pump. any lead low or complete will ruin your cat.
av 101 mixes nicely with pump gas
the guy across the street from me used to run it in his porshe once a month
or mixing racing 110 with pump gas works nicely too
last time at the track i used a octane boost and that worked out nicely
i might put my bigger jets in soon
last time with a 55 shot i ran mid 9 but with a slow reaction time thanks to the setting sun

yea it was a 9 on the 1/8
i know i can push a flat 9 or even a high 8 if i launch right. plus its around that time that my clutch starts to go out. i hear our clutches only last till 30000
high octane is great for all you nos or non N/A peps out there.
its fine to run every so often in your stock car. just dont go too high of an octane and be sure to mix.
oo and high octane is great for long distance trips. its worth theextra money to have your engine runn smother on the way to say frisco or vegas.

engine management system?
How long would you have to drive with the racing fuel before the EMS notices the higher octane?
Also, how much extra performance do you gain from say... 91 to this (Racing Fuel), or does the racing fuel simply burn slower?
I am sure you guys will inform me of my idiotic questions.
