Default ScionLife vs. ClubRSX.com

Whatup everybody, I've been talking to a lot of RSX owners over at ClubRSX.com, and we'd like to get a interclub competition up and going. There will be three events; K1 Speed Karting, Drag Racing at California Speedway, and a Track Day at Willow Springs. K1 Speed will be the first.

This is meant to be a drama free event for members of different clubs/forums to get together and have a nice friendly competition (and a little bragging rights :p).

Initially, this was going to be SCTCC vs. ClubRSX, but I've decided to open it up to as all my fellow scion peeps! The original scheduled K1 meet was this friday, but I can postpone it to get some more people in.

First Event

What: K1 Meet, ScionLife vs. ClubRSX
When: Feb. ???
Where: K1 Speed in Anahiem
Price: 65 per person

1)brody (ClubRSX)
2)alex (ClubRSX)
3)kevin949 (ClubRSX)
4)bezerk (ClubRSX)
5)steve (ClubRSX)
6)Soulquarian (SCTCC)
7)Sliver07 (SCTCC)

134 views and no one wants to go to K1? Meet is postponed until we can get at least 5 Scion owners or more.

Whats up Marlon!? I saw this on ClubRSX as I think I have more posts there then I do on here, and thats a lot. I think I have like 5000 over there. I love their forum. Plus I work on a lot of RSX's.

As far as bragging rights go, I wouldn't want to Drag any of those fools. I know a lot of them and there are some crazy boosted RSX in the Socal area. I think one with 550+

Maybe Ill make it out to cheer you guys on, and meet up with some of the RSX crew. Bump for this, and making some new friends!

Thanks Alpha Squad!

The K1 meet is go karts, so you don't have to worry about running your cars at the drag if you don't want to.

We'll be doing a Grand Prix, so that's about $65 a person. That includes 1 practice race, 1 qualifying race, and the final race. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place get trophies. They also provide you with helmets and headsocks.

You get a LOT of track time, I think the practice race is around 14 laps or so, with the final being around 20. They give you complete printouts of your stats including graphs showing every lap, fastest lap, how you compare against the other racers, and where you rank among everyone who's ever raced at K1.

I've been to the one in Ontario and the one in Carlsbad, and I've never had so much fun racing. The karts are electric and the place is indoors, so you don't have to worry about breathing fumes and all that crap. Great stuff!

for 1st times, they will alk to u about the flags. no bumping.let them pass etc.

just go and watch.that will change your mind.

you dont have to be 18 because parents take their 10 year olds. youre probably thinking of dromo.dont worry about it. for k1 you being 17 is fine.they rent you out a head sock a helmet.you return bth items after the race. both items are part of the race price so you dont need to pay extra. a regular race is 14 laps i think and is around $ 25 for a non member and like $ 18 for a member. to be a member you pay like $ 45 and they will give you a race (14laps) and i think at shirt(pole position does this in corona) not sure if u get something at k1.check out the site bro. youll like it.

Here's the FAQ on how old, license, etc.

As far as getting lost, you and I live in the same area, so you could follow me. Most likely we'll all be having a premeet anyway.

Electric is better than gas IMO. WAY better torque. Instant power off the line.
