Suns in 5 Games!!
#301
As i recall Kenyon Martin was the 1st to do the pullin the jersey thing to show off after he dunks the ball. the only other person to that is Amare. So Kobe didnt invent that jersey show off thing. Laker fans don't get mad, but the Suns play as a TEAM. Basketball is a 5 on 5 game, not 1 on 5. The Suns win because they play as a team. Oh not to mention they run the ball faster than anyone else. I think there goal is to score 120 a game.

That cross-over last night, baseline to the rim, was beautiful.
Another weapon in the bag. Game 7 will be about going inside for the Suns. The 4 Ds.

From this morning's Arizona Republic:
The Suns are on a mission from... (cue Blues Brothers Music)
LOS ANGELES - The Suns' locker room was euphoric through the exhaustion as they relived Tim Thomas' three-pointer that put Game 6 in overtime and the deluge of seven straight made Suns shots in overtime that gave the Suns a 126-118 victory over the Lakers.
Then, Steve Nash walked it and told everybody, "Guys, calm down. We're only up 4-2 and we've got another game to go," referencing how they felt Game 4 was stolen from them to set up the scenario of needing to win three straight games.
Now, the Lakers will find out what it is like to play a game under the diress of win or go home. With the series tied at 3, the Suns are a Saturday home win away from what seemed darn near impossible quest at the start of week - become the eighth team in NBA history to win a series after being down 3-1.

MIN FG FT 3-FG REB A ST BS TO PTS
Nash 46 9-14 13-13 1-3 2 1 3 0 0 3 32
Bryant 52 20-35 5-6 5-8 8 2 5 3 0 50
check these numbers out. sure nash didnt score 50, but look at assists and his points. So Laker fans tell me, who should be MVP

lol. hey bbcrud thanks for the clean up. but come on people, just dont look at points. contribution is the key here. nash is a real leader. like magic, isaiah, stockton. notice these names i mentioned dont score 4000 pts a game, but are legends. Kobe is like the new age Dominique Wilkins. all he is known for is a points machine. and 2nd to jordan

Kobe inventing the whole pulling the jersey thing wasn't my point, my point was that he got mocked. No, kobe's not an angel, but the suns seem to be sore losers and when they get a chance to win, they don't show much class at all. That's what i'm trying to say. Probably after this series. win or lose, the suns will be a team i'll be cheering against no matter what, solely based on their attitude. Anyways, winning at Phoenix would be a very nice drop kick to the face of the suns if it happens. That would be sweet.

I don't get why you think the Suns are sore losers. I think they held together pretty well after the refs HANDED game four to the Lakers. I don't remember you saying anything about Coach Jackson's lack of respect for Raja DURING game 5. Is it just the Suns you want to hold to a standard of sportsmanship? The things you saw from the Suns were just reactions to the Lakers' bench and Kobe's attitude. Remember Kwame sticking his crotch in Robinsons face after knocking him down in an earlier game? What was that all about? Trying to help him up?
I know it's tough to see your team lose but they've played a great series. They've played WAY better as a team than anyone thought they would through the first 5 games but, come on, you knew Kobe's Kids would eventually show up and leave him to do the job. Just start thinking about next year. Odom will be better. Walton will be better. Kwame might learn to catch. You just never know!
Been great so far. Let's hope they finish it right.

sooooo... that is why i feel kobe deserves to be MVP. because he can dominate in both situations, whereas nash at his age can't play a game without resting and definitely can't finish at the same intensity. in the games where the rest of the lakers showed up, kobe proved that he can dish the assists and create plays. but he can also win a game on his own (remember the 81 point performance, second highest in HISTORY), one thing nash will never EVER be able to do.
amen.

Kobe and Raja's feud has been going on since Raja was with the 76ers I believe. Kobe maintained his cool while Raja reacted like a douche. I don't even rememeber what coach Jackson may have said to Raja but they obviously got into Raja's head. When Kwame knocked [insert suns player, I dont remember] to the ground and stood over him. That, i'm assuming was just macho BS. You really don't see any laker players whining or crying like the suns have, you don't see the lakers overreacting (Raja who?) and you haven't seen the lakers be sore winners when they've won the 3 games. Maybe you should start thinking about next year and maybe then, the suns will learn how to play some defense.
Kwame has hands made out of ____. I agree. Every time i saw the ball going to him, i was holding on for dear life hoping he'd catch the damn thing.
