super autobacs anyone?
i recently applied for a cc at super autobacs in stanton (southern california). i'm just curious has anybody bought stuff from them before besides bulbs, car accessories, audio, tires/rims. my credit limit there is $700 and i want to get a header but i didnt see any in the store or get a chance to ask around for help.
any shopping experiences from them? good, bad ?
can they order parts that they dont have? are they more expensive then online sites like creative compacts / monster motorworks / ptuning ?
i know most of these questions should be directed to an actual worker @ the store but i was just wondering if anybody buys performance related stuff from them. the reason why i ask is i dont like to wait for shipping and i rather have it the moment i buy it.
thanks in advance.

Autobacs is great to purchase stuff you can't find elsewhere.. i've had great purchases from them.
other than that, other parts (including performance) can be probably found elsewhere for much cheaper. if you are having trouble finding a place... shoot me a pm.
and btw.... credit cards..... evil... if that's what is stopping you from purchasing elsewhere... well... maybe you shouldn't be buying anything?
i got enough credit card debt to worry about...... like i said... credit card = evil...

Autobacs is a place to look around not to shop. Most of the things they have, i can get it for cheaper at other shops. They sell at MSRP most of the time and shops like Island Motorsports sell way below MSRP and are 10 min away from them. And there installation prices are ridiculous! Almost as ridiculous as the dealer.

ive got my tires there and i get my oil and fluid services there. they really well priced on some things especially during sales. you save money on install though ( 10.00 a wheel to install) plus they do know their stuff so if you want a supercharger installed they got it handled. service isnt soo good their always really rude to me but then they always give me some sort of discount , even got a $ 50.00 discount on my Toyo's so that keeps me coming back

thats true, the reason why i consider autobacs as an alternative is that when they install the stuff i buy from them, it has warrenty (correct me if i'm wrong)
warrenty as in: if the install goes wrong, they will fix it.
online is way cheaper, i just dont like the whole waiting game for the item to arrive.

FICO
- if you dont know your fico by now, i highly suggest looking it up.
- it affects everything! loans, apr, interest, credit cards, etc etc!
What is a FICO score?
A FICO score is a credit score developed by Fair Isaac & Co. Credit scoring is a method of determining the likelihood that credit users will pay their bills. Fair, Isaac began its pioneering work with credit scoring in the late 1950s and, since then, scoring has become widely accepted by lenders as a reliable means of credit evaluation. A credit score attempts to condense a borrowers credit history into a single number. Fair, Isaac & Co. and the credit bureaus do not reveal how these scores are computed. The Federal Trade Commission has ruled this to be acceptable.
Credit scores are calculated by using scoring models and mathematical tables that assign points for different pieces of information which best predict future credit performance. Developing these models involves studying how thousands, even millions, of people have used credit. Score-model developers find predictive factors in the data that have proven to indicate future credit performance. Models can be developed from different sources of data. Credit-bureau models are developed from information in consumer credit-bureau reports.
Credit scores analyze a borrower's credit history considering numerous factors such as:
Late payments
The amount of time credit has been established
The amount of credit used versus the amount of credit available
Length of time at present residence
Employment history
Negative credit information such as bankruptcies, charge-offs, collections, etc.
There are really three FICO scores computed by data provided by each of the three bureaus––Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. Some lenders use one of these three scores, while other lenders may use the middle score.

I've found that if you watch the sales that they have, and by chance they have what you want in stock and on sale, you can get some decent prices at Super Autobacs. If not, you can most likely find it cheaper somewhere online. But it's kinda cool to just go in there and browse and wonder what half the labels say in japanese.

if you go to their website online you you can see what they have on sale.
yes 21.84% is a rip off but its not like i'm going to buy something worth $x,xxx and have to pay if off forever.. hahaha
FICO, all i know is that i have pretty good credit. (thats why i got a $700 credit line instead of the usual $200 from autobacs)
