Dragon Lake Car Show//Lake of the Ozarks//May 5
Here is another set of info we just got!
K.C. Region Scion in conjunction with Lake of The Ozarks Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals presents the Midwest Scion Nationals Car Show!
What is it? – One of the Midwest’s largest car shows. The 19th annual Magic Dragon Street Meet will have hundred’s of beautiful cars in all makes and models. Scion will have a specific class and group parking at our trailer.
Who should come? – Any and all Scion owners! From stock to mild to wild cars are welcome. We want this to be the largest Scion gathering in the Midwest!
Why should I attend? – FABULOUS PRIZES AND GIVEAWAYS like Wii video game systems, various gift cards and many other surprises! This will also be the Midwest’s debut of the NEXT GENERATION xB! Touch it, feel it, B it! All participants will get a next-gen xB t-shirt. The Scion Experience trailer will be there. This is an 80 foot semi trailer with Xbox 360 play stations and a 40,000 watt sound system with DJ station playing your favorite tunes. Lunch will be provided.
Where is it? – OSAGE BEACH, MO at the Bagnell Dam for the Lake of The Ozarks. The Holiday Inn Express has car show special rates of $89 with a 2 night minimum. All hotels will probably have some sort of car show special if you ask for it.
When? – Saturday May 5th from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There will be a big cruise on Friday evening May 4th if you can make it down then. We will all cruise to a SCION AFTER-PARTY following the car show at the Topsider. Check it out at WWW.TOPSIDERLAKEOFTHEOZARKS.COM . There will be Scion food and drink specials. More giveaways also.
How do I sign up? –You can PRE-REGISTER AT WWW.MAGICDRAGONSTREETMEET.COM . If you register before April 13th Scion will reimburse you the $20 fee when you check in at the show. The cost is $30 after April 13th.You can also show up the day of the show and get in.

Man another cool event in my area. Love to come, but I maxed out my travel expenses for this car show season. Ames, Asylum, and that's just the A's

DIRECTIONS AND SHOW SCHEDULE FOR MIDWEST SCION NATIONALS
Here are directions to the show along with the "Scion" schedule. We will have great show awards and also raffle some great prizes including a Wii gaming system. PLEASE encourage anyone thinking of attending to pre-register by April 13th so we can get them reimbursed at the show!!! Only the first 50 get in free!
Event Location: Bagnell Dam Strip - Lake Ozark
The Historic Bagnell Dam Blvd., located in Lake Ozark, Missouri, is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Also known as "The Strip", it provides a unique setting for the Street Meet, hosting a wide variety of shops and outlets including crafts, souvenirs, t-shirt shops, restaurants, arcades and amusements. Since we close the strip to regular traffic during the Street Meet, there’s parking for over 700 show vehicles that are expected this year as well as a couple of open lanes for our show vehicles to cruise.
Directions from Kansas City
From Kansas City, take I-70 east to Booneville. At Booneville, take highway 5 south to Tipton. Highway 5 will intersect Highway 50 – go left (east) on 50. At the light in Tipton, turn right and continue south on 5 toward Versailles. Highway 5 will intersect Highway 52. Go left (east) on 52 to Eldon. At the second light in Eldon (McDonald’s on your right) turn right (still on highway 52). Continue out of town a couple of miles, and take Highway 54 (4 lane) west. Stay on 54 west about 8 miles. Take the Bagnell Dam/Bus 54 exit. Continue across the dam and go up the strip. You will see a big lemon (lemonade stand) at Luby’s parking lot on the strip. That is the location of show registration. You will see our Scion Trailer and group site when you cross the dam. Go on past and look for Luby’s for the registration

From St. Louis, take I-70 west to Kingdom City. Take Hwy 54 west through Jefferson City, past Eugene, past Eldon and to the Lake. After you pass Eldon, stay on 54 west about 12 miles. Take the Bagnell Dam/Bus 54 exit. Continue across the dam and go up the strip. You will see a big lemon (lemonade stand) at Luby’s parking lot on the strip. That is the location of show registration.
Directions from South (Springfield):
Take I-44 east to Lebanon. At Lebanon, take exit 129 off I-44. At the top of the ramp, turn left on Highway 5 (Jefferson Ave.). Follow Jefferson Ave through town (several stoplights), then right on North 5 (watch the signs). Stay on north 5 about 25 miles to Camdenton. At the light in Camdenton, turn right on 54 east. Stay on 54 east through Osage Beach into the Lake Ozark City Limits. At the stoplight by Denny’s and the Baymont Inn, turn left on Bus 54. Continue on Bus 54 about 3 miles to the strip. Watch for the Big Lemon Lemonade stand. Turn right into Luby’s parking lot to find show registration.
Since we are participating within the Magic Dragon Street Meet, you can also do any of the activities listed for all show cars. However, please have you car with the Scion group on Saturday during the 8-5 PM show. I have noted our Scion-specific group activities.

• 3 PM The Dam (Bagnell Dam, that is!) Poker Run begins—Map included at registration Ballots to be turned in on Sunday, May 6 by 12:00 PM at the Main Stage Information.
• 7 PM Evening Cruise on the Bagnell Dam Strip

• 8 AM—1 PM Street Meet Participant Registration
• 8 AM—5 PM 2007 Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals Show Hours
• Prize raffles throughout the day at the Scion Trailer.
• 8 AM—5 PM Swap Meet and Shop Hop on the Bagnell Dam Strip
• 8 AM—3 PM Judging of show vehicles . All Scions must be judged no later than 3 PM! Judging is a drive thru set up right by our area so you can get judged as soon as you are ready.
• 10 AM Make-n-Take Model Event
• 5 PM Scion Group show winners announcement and awards
• Around 7PM Caravan behind Scion Trailer to the Topsider Club for the Afterparty and more prize giveaways.
• All Day The Dam (Bagnell Dam, that is!) Poker Run
• All Day Door Prize Drawings—All show participants are eligible
Sunday, May 6 Scion as a group is not participating on Sunday but feel free to join in the fun individually.
• 8 AM—10 AM Judging of show vehicles - not necessary for SCION if you were judged Saturday.
• 8 AM—10 AM Street Meet Participant Registration

Does anyone know a campground close to the event and a website on it?
