It's the 4th annual event and biggest import show in the state. Event activities will be the same as last year... car/truck/bike show, 1/4 mile drag racing, stereo crank it up contest, burnout contest, bikini contest, and professional midget wrestling.
All registration is the day of the show at the front gate from 10am to 12pm, judging begins at 12, awards ceremony at 5:30, event over by 6. list of classes are on www.ImportFaceOff.net , click on "Show Rules".
Show prices are Spectators $13 with flier (regular $15), Car Show Entry $25, Test and Tune drag racer $20, Competition drag racer $30.

If anyone would like to help pass out fliers, please email me your name and mailing address to hybridentertainment78@yahoo.com. Promoters are assigned a number and are paid on commission, $2 for every flier that comes in with your number on it. Spectators bring in the fliers because of the $2 off admission coupon. Checks are mailed out within a week after the event.

The 4th annual Import Face-Off will be on September 2nd at Kansas City International Raceway. Gates open at 10am. Qualifying at 12:30, 1:30, & 2:30. Eliminations at 3:30, 4:30, & 5:30. Car show registration from 10am to 12pm, judging begins at 12, awards ceremony at 5:30.
COMPETITION DRAG CLASSES AND PAYOUTS
FWD Quick 8 $1000 (FWD 4 cyl only, slicks and open exhaust OK)
Street Class Quick 8 $800 (FWD, RWD, or AWD 4/6 cyl or rotary only, DOT tires and muffler required)
All Motor Quick 4 $400 (FWD, RWD, or AWD 4/6 cyl or rotary, n/a engines only, slicks OK for FWD only, open exhaust OK)
Bracket 14.99 and Faster $200 (any import or domestic sport compact)
Bracket 15.00 and Slower $200 (any import or domestic sport compact)
Motorcycle Bracket $100 (any motorcycle of import origin)
*full fields required for full payout. Full = 8 cars for Quick 8 classes, 4 cars for Quick 4 classes. Payout structure on www.ImportFaceOff.net
SHOW CLASSES: Best Interior, Best Paint/Finish, Best Engine Bay, Best Display, Best Mitsubishi, Best Toyota, Best Scion, Best Nissan, Best Mazda, Best Euro, Best Civic (mild), Best Civic (wild), Best Other Honda (mild), Best Other Honda (wild), Best Acura (mild), Best Acura (wild), Best Other Import (Subaru, Hyundai, etc.), Best Domestic Sports Compact, Best Domestic Car, Best Domestic Truck/SUV, Best Import Truck/SUV, Best Luxury, Best Exotic, Best Underconstruction, Best Club Participation, Best Club Representation $200, Best of Show $300. Additional classes and/or places to be added depending on participation (usually a class for every 4 of a specific make/model vehicle).
PRICES for the event are $20 for test and tune racer (open to any make/model), $30 for competition racer (import or sport compacts only), $25 for car show entry, and $15 for spectators ($13 with flier coupon). It's an Import event and racers get tons of passes. Even after eliminated, you can still run test and tune.

Usually this show has paid spots for a certain amount of Scions . . . the regular Scion champ at RS&S's doesn't work there anymore, so who knows what they'll do this year . .. it's on a Sunday, so I required by contract to attend, lol..

So I called them and asked to speak to the head of the Scion department, and he said to call Shayn, even though she is at Molle. I was like, ok..... So i called Shayn, and she was like, i have no idea. So yeah. If anyone else wants to try, the number is 913-299-8600

I knew about the 23rd, but K.C. SCION hasn't nailed down the final plans for it, so nothing to post about. I had been meaning to at least "leak" the date, but hadn't had the thought while I was at a computer, lol.
