Question kansas city locals!-- windshield repair?

So because of the lovely ice and snow, which of course has now passed, my pretty windshield cracked. It's starting to extend across to the other side so replacing it will need to be done soon. Does anyone in the Kansas City, MO area know of a good place I can get it done? And about how much? I assume it'll be around a couple hundred. *le sigh*

Check with your insurance... you might get at least one free every so many premiums or there may even be a deductible for one. As for shops, I've not had to have any of my glass replaced just yet so I can't say.

Best suggestion I can offer: Get multiple quotes from several locations. Ask to see workmanship done. Ask about OEM or aftermarket seals used. Also, check for guarantee over air-leaks (high pitched whistles after install is finished) and fractures after the fact.

Still have the windshield issue, still haven't gotten around to taking care of it. My insurance doesn't cover it, so I'll be needing to look around. Hopefully it won't dig too deep into my wallet. XD

Thank you VIP_CAMO.

Well carp. Did some detailing this weekend and found a major crack on the front. Drop me a note when you get a chance... perhaps lovelymando and I can get a deal going to the same place.

LOL! Just noticed the tags for the thread... "Linux"

I might just be going with Safelite, the crack expanded today so if I can't find any place cheaper, at least they have a guarantee. XD My quote came out to around $235 but I don't know whether that is all inclusive. So next paycheck goes to that I suppose, poor car...poooor wallet.
