I've mentioned open track days at Heartland Park Topeka a few times now but figured it'd be easier to get a plan together if you guys had some more info.

Touring Club Lapping Days, The ultimate track day for street cars and their driver! Test your street legal machine on 2.1 Mile Club Course layout of HPT's road course. Sharpen your skills through it's 11 corners. Controlled conditions with instructors for novice drivers ensure a safe experience on Wednesday nights.
New for 2007, the third Wednesday night of each month is open to the first 60 registered drivers. Levels of expertise include novice, intermediate, and advanced. Gates will open at 3:00 p.m., with cars on track (following tech inspection) at 4:30 p.m. Please note...no registrations will be accepted after 5:00 p.m.
NOTE: Credit for event registrations will be given at Heartland Park Topeka management discretion. No refunds will be given for event
Touring Club Lapping Days
[TCLUB] $60.00
Driver must have current state-issued license, current registration of vehicle with proof of insurance, Snell SA or M90-rated helmet, long pants, and all lights functioning properly.
Other technical inspection requirements are listed in the driver's registration packet. Please make sure you are properly prepared for your track day experience.
Credit for event registrations will be given at Heartland Park Topeka management discretion. No refunds will be given for event registrations after the event has been run.
**IMPORTANT**
1) All drivers MUST be a currently REGISTERED HPT TOURING CLUB MEMBER, which requires an annual administration fee of 20.00 (one time).
2) ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS MUST download and complete this packet Then return to Heartland Park Topeka offices no later 5 p.m. one day prior to scheduled event.
3) ALL Novice drivers, first timers MUST participate in the Instructor-based orientation at their first event prior to Intermediate or Advanced Session participation.

So the cost would be $80 per driver (I know, kinda pricey but maybe we could get Adams to help out). I think we could get a show for later in the summer to bring some other chapters in. Run if you want, and have a show in the lot there. I'll call next week and see what HPT can do for us. What do you folks think? Car show and some Scions attacking the track would make for a pretty damn cool event right?
