Nope. Once the body shop got up and in there, they found over $10k in repairs.

On top of that, the guy that caused the accident (yeah, the one that swerved from the next lane over and STOPPED in front of me) tried to claim it on my insurance, saying I rear-ended him. The adjuster was like "ummm... no, there is no bumper damage".

My insurance guy said it wasn't going to fly... the way they see it, he's totally at fault.

Damn Khans that sucks, your ride was clean too. I hope you get things figured out and can still be with the Scion community.

Not gonna happen. My loan was denied today.

Just gonna find a car to get me by. No more Scions for me.

Going to look at a couple of Audi's and a Saturn Vue among other cars today. Those are the big 3 contenders.

The other driver is at fault so HIS insurance should be paying for your rental AND the "Under 25" fee bs they pull. Push your insurance, or his depending on who you're going with for this, and make them pay for everything. As it's 100% his fault, you shouldn't be paying a dime because of this.

Good thing they found more damage, the body shop, because the pictures are worse than my accident and mine was $6500.

Buy a tank.

Wait wait wait wait, you wanna buy an Audi but Scion won't give you credit for another car? Considering you've already purchased 2 scions and want another one they should be sucking your (figurative) d**k. Have you tried getting financing through your jobs credit union? You'd probably get a better interest rate off them anyway.

That sounds like a challenge. Are you sure you wouldn't like something more like this instead of a Vue?

Kelsi wanted something in a four door. That is something more like what I would be looking for. haha. I have an '86 GXL in my garage with a few engine parts in mine and Kelsi's apartment and I used to have a pair of 1st gens. I love rotaries.

Yeah Chels, insurance wouldn't budge. I'd had to have paid for everything up front, regardless of fault. My claims agent said "you'll get your money when we get ours". He's totally worthless.

It actually really sucked for me that they totaled it, because not only did I have to deal with my d*ck of a claims agent, but I also lost all the money I had put into my car (springs, vinyls, etc.), and my Scion. I got my rims back though.

I don't have the credit to get another Scion. I had no down payment. I had no trade. I also didn't think I could afford to pay what I was paying each month. It's nice because I'm saving $120/month in car payments and $26/month on insurance.

I looked at a sick Eclipse but my dad wouldn't let me even test drive it since it was a stick. I got a Taurus SEL. Decent car, but I hate Fords, Taurus', and the fact that the thing is so huge compared to my xD. I had to clean out my garage to make the Tortoise fit!

That's all she wrote.

I'd double check on the policy and laws to see about compensation for your springs, vinyls, etc. That should be covered.

2001. White. Gray leather interior, sunroof, 6-disc changer. Had 97,500 miles though. Got it cheap and it seems decent. Costs a LOT more to fill up though!!!

Gah! Pretty sure the adjuster bought my car then was harassing me about stuff that was supposedly missing from it - heavily suggesting we snagged parts off the car. Luckily, the body shop was thorough and had photos of EVERYTHING that was on the car before it went in, and right before it went to the body shop.

Then, the mother of all no-no's: the adjuster lied point blank to me. He told me the body shop didn't even need to LOOK at the car, since HE DEEMED IT A TOTAL LOSS BEFORE IT WENT INTO THE SHOP!!! OMG I about went through the roof! I kept my cool and looked into it that night, got documentation from the body shop stating that it wasn't true. Called him the next day and he was the BIGGEST jerk about it.

Soooo I called insurance and notified my agent, next up is the BBB and the Minnesota licensing board. Messed with the wroooong chica!

Who's your insurance through? I'd definitely add some higher-up from that company to your list. You could even probably take this guy to court, if you were so inclined.

I have Wadena (which is through IMT Insurance). I still haven't gotten documents OR advice from my claims agent. When this is all over, I will DEFINITELY be speaking with a higher up at the insurance agency (as well as a higher up at the adjuster's office).
