Default s3 Classification System (Street, Mild and Wild)

Here is the link to the Class system for s3

Please save the link and recheck as it may still be tweaked up to the show date. Remember, judges may still change your class if they feel it is necessary.

You will be given this sheet to fill out the day of the show. Feel free to print it out beforehand and have it to present at the registration booth the day of the show. If yours is dated before an update was made, they will ask you to fill out a new one.

I and alot of people have spent alot of time on this system. That DOES NOT mean it is perfect, and if there is something that NEEDS to be changed, I am open to ideas.

Feel free to class your vehicle out here in advance and post up your results. Ask questions so there is less confusion the day of the show and let's have fun!

Remember, the reason for breaking down the cars into classes is to put you into a competitive class with other vehicles that are near the same level of modification. This allows for more people to have fun competing in the show. (and for us to give away more stuff!)

There are three classes, with three models to break down into. These are Wild, Mild, and Street the models being xB, tC, and xA/xD. (I wouldn't mind breaking the xA and xD into their own separate classes, but need to see more owners of these vehicles participate. I think this class system puts everyone into a competitive atmosphere that is fair and just.)

I know some people will not be happy about being near a line on one side or the other of a class. You may bump up into a higher class of your own free will, but once you have asked to do so we will not allow you to change your mind. You must decide when you register your car what class you want to be in (either the class you break into with the point system, or any higher class you choose to go into)

Remember, the prizes are bigger and better in the higher classes.

The only way to go down a class is to make an appeal to a judge. They will determine this the day of the show, make sure and ask them before you register, but have your score sheet ready. It is almost 100% going to be no, and there would have to be a really compelling reason to be downclassed.

Good luck to all, and I will go ahead and hear all of the complaints now! ;)

Why is it that Mild goes up to 44 points and Wild starts at 40?

Wild = 40+Points
Mild = 25-44 Points
Street = 0-24 points

Meh, I'm at 13 right now. If I can get all the stuff done that I want to in these two weeks, I'll be at 24.

I might push myself up to mild if I can get my s/c project that's in the tC F/I board complete and tuned before I make the drive... but I'd have to be doing that AND a full body kit at the same time while working about 60 hour weeks.

What about stuff like window visors, stainless brake/clutch lines, c-pillar braces, other chassis braces and ETDs? Would those be counted in minor (one point) interior/exterior mods?

Visors and brake lines would be 1 pt minor mods, the chassis brace and etd sounds like they will be free points on this system. There still may be a few tweaks here and there, but assume this is correct for the moment and see where you end up.

Added headers, thanks Fredy!

Captainlaziness, you have a pm

I figured the ETD would be part of the "Engine Dress Up" category. Oh well, free points are good.

Looks like I am in mild with 34 points.
