I just witnessed a bad butt race ending in totaliation of a Mustang GT. I was coming back from the plaza in KC. The Mustang driver cut off a Subaru WRX that was highly modified. Subaru pumps the gas and smokes the GT Mustang through numerous S turns. Mustang misses the turn and farms about 300 feet of pristine lawn and tore up a businesses landscaping complete with pavestones. I stopped to see if the Mustang driver was ok, which he was. On site security called the police so I left. In the middle of the intersection was his complete ground effects kit along with his two fornt wheels that were shredded from the curb. Moral of the story.... If you plan to race an all wheel drive car pushing 400 hp, forget it unless you are going in a straight line! I know the Subaru is not 400 hp from the factory, but he had boost gueges in plain site on his A pillar and it sounded like a muscle car at the stop light. So . yes, it is an estimate but from what i saw it was every bit of 400 hp.

Just another point for the Japanese automakers.

 

What color was the WRX? My friend has a bright yellow one with a CF hood. Another friend had an insane Mustang GT, but then he got an STI? Did the brake on the mustang say: "You are losing"?

I used to have a ford lightning and got whooped like i stole something by a modded wrx.....and i was pushin close to 400hp

 

yeah a guy at my work has a stock WRX STi and he raced one of the managers at my work with a 1991 BWM 5 Series pushing 550 HP with a stage 4 dinan turbo pushing 22 pounds of boost.

The BMW lost by 3 car lenths against a car down 250HP

If anyone knows were yahooz is in town center plaza the BMW is there most of the time. This thing is a beast. but got is ___ kicked by STi GOTTA LOVE 4-Cyls!!!!

yeah they blew a headgasket at the SCCA Nationals in Topeka the day before and had to race the next day, my buddy Todd had to due the hold engine in one day. it was impressive, very impressive!
