I might be there this weekend, although I am a liittle aprehensive to show up because the last time I went to a meet (not here) I sat in the corner with my wife by ourselves. I think because everyone else knew eachother etc. But I do love pizza and need to carb-load that night anyway.

You should come. We'll try not to leave you out. Sometimes it's hard to talk to everyone if there are a lot of people there, but if you join in the conversation, and don't sit in the corner for too long, then we can all talk. LOL
There are usually several conversations going on at once, or you can always just check out the cars too. That always opens up interesting topics!
Hope you guys can make it!

probably need at least 2 pairs of TSX or S2000 retros to fill the xA reflector bowl, otherwise i dunno what to do with the extra space. might look awkward with just one projector all alone in there

new peeps are always welcomed! I don't think you could sit in the corner by yourself if you tried.

Yeah, I think a big part of what happened before is that it really was a big group of friends and when we went to eat there was not enough rooom for everyone so the newbs got the corner lol. I think I will be out there though!

well acording to some people we can be "cliquey" but i don't see it. everyone in the club welcomed me with open arms my first time down about 6 months ago. now i can't imagine going a weekend without seeing my friends that i've made. i promise you if you come down everyone will make it a point to know your name by the end of the night and hold a conversation with you and your wife. everyone is very friendly with new people.

so i insist that you come down and get to know us

My girlfriend and I were in the same boat as Syldrin around the same time. We started coming in the middle of September after we moved here from WI. I was kind of leery at first. The experience I've had with other car clubs is they were all kind of standoffish and thought themselves better than the average guy just because they may (or may not as the case sometimes was) have a cool car. Not these people! We were welcomed right from the start and I must say that we have become very close with most of the regulars and friendly with all of the rest. My girlfriend and I have always had a hard time making new friends where we used to live. Not here though. I must say these are some of the best people I've ever met and some of the best friends I've ever had. Always ready to lend a hand and always there when you need them.

As long as you are not like one of the aforementioned "other car club" people, you won't be disappointed.

Well I would recommend coming down I joined scionlife in 05 and got invited to come down but never showed(I lived in Idaho Springs). As soon as I moved to Arvada and I showed up about 3 weeks ago. I walked in and I think some asked if I was there for the Scion group. I then responded yup and I got over whelmed with he hospotality from everyone names be called out. I finally took my wife down last week and I was a bit concerned that she would fill out of place but everyone talked to her and welcomed her as well. I can't go a week with out thinking of hanging with my new found family.
