geo- regarding why its a good idea to take it slow for the 1st 1000miles on a brand new engine. From what i've read from tuner books. It has something to do with the rods stretching/compressing, not sure about other engine components, but they did emphasize the rods. Since the parts are new, they haven't become used to, expanding, compressing, expanding, compressing, due to heat (streching when in use obviously), and cold (when running really slow, or the car is off). After the break in period, the parts are so used to all this stuff happening, that they don't happen as erratically as before.
Soooo if you redline a new engine constantly, w/o a break in period, the rods are gonna be more stretched than they were originally, or something to that effect., for the life of the engine, or until you swap them out for better ones =)
It gets really technical, I only understood half of it, lol. Gotta read it again. But thats the general idea. So its always a good idea, to do a break in period. =)
Hope that helped some. I still got lots of learning to do.
Carlos - I lost my fender liners, when I installed my injen cai a looooong time ago. They got blown out, while I was on i-95. The way I see it, my engine has a lot of ventilation now, lmao.

Wow $200 for those.
I personally like the speed-source mounts. These other ones look kinda wimpy lol. I only installed the front one. At low rpms, the vibration is high, i wonder if its because theya are still being broken in. Once im on the highway, its feels really smooth.
My brother took a ride in my car the other day, and he noticed a huge difference. I can't wait to drop the tranny, exchange it, and get the rear mounts in too.
