Ahhhh see heres where i gotta disagree

86 carrera, 92' 964, 96' 993 or even a 00' 996 all day.....new exhaust, itb's, tune.....
Or even an old school 914 and drop a 3.2 in there wowow.....

But i still agree the new 997 turbo, GT and the GT2/3 are very very secsi, haha

The only reason I like the newer ones, is because they are bigger than the older models, lol. I don't like feeling cramped up.

I didnt open the link but u talkin bout the VHT? the turbo wit the variable fans right?? = no lag, lol

Yea ive thought of that many times....that turbo actually comes from garrett, but i cant even imagine the price on one of those, i can most likely put my whole boost kit together to buy one of those turbos alone, lol

Oh and I gota question about my exhaust. Sometimes it sounds real nice and quite and sometimes (seems to be when its hot out i think) it sounds like crap. Any reason why that would be?

And that popping noise that happens when i shift sometimes or if im decelerating, is that because of a leak or just cuz of the exhaust/header. Thanks

Not sure about the 2nd question.

But the 1st one i'm wondering if its the tune, lol. Maybe the ecu is making it run richer when its really hot, and maybe that affect the sound of the exhaust?

I'm just throwing that out there. When my car get really hot, the ecu compensate by giving it extra fuel, and my exhaust sometimes pops, burning the extra fuel that wasn't burned in the cylinders.

Jason/johnny would probably know better, lol.

what you are experiencing is heat expansion on your exhuast... when metal heats up it expands and can create gaps, leaks and metalic vibrance in your exhuast

as for the popping at shifting.. thats excess fuel thats being dumped out of your exhuast chamber being detonated in or by your CAT. signs of u running rich... your fuel is not being burnd 100% and excess is pushed out via exhaust valves in the exhuast system.. the CAT works to catch this fuel and deposit it and helps burn it with heat... with no CATS the popping sound is fuel exploding at a much louder tone because the noise is resonated via the cats chamber design (thats why it looks like a squashed resonator)

happens to me and joe all the time... very normal... especially when ur car likes to dump fuel...

LOL hey joe lol we responded at the same time... r u my long lost brother from another mother? lol

why are you buying high mileage oil? ....... its structure is made up differently then normal synthetics... its designed for motors with high piston wall and ring wear....

do u have a full exhuast or stock midpipe?? the OEM cat is ok but if the popping and droning bother you and u dont want it to get louder then later on ur gonna need to look into an aftermarket high flow cat...

I was just looking into the Mobil 1 10w 40 and all i can find in that wieght is "high mileage" for some reason.

I a full exhaust but i kept the stock cat. I actually like the poping noise lol. so i woudn't mind it being a little louder. Im thinking of another small resonator or a high flow cat to make it sound nicer.

I said on my car joe/pete, lol.

I think you guys are talking about the intake air temp. There is a setting for that too, lol.

Freaking standalone and a million settings >.<

My coolant temp is hot as hell, ever since my gasket got messed up.

There is a setting on the hydra, if the water temp goes above a certain setting, its makes the car run hella rich, and I noticed when that kicks in, my exhaust starts dumping black soothe/smoke in small quantities.

I just no that happens on my car with the settings/conditions I have on the car.
