I have been kind of busy today but if you are going tonight we will talk about your project. I will be there about 8:15pm.

Rick
I'll try and make it out tonight. I might just show up in my dad's ford explorer, if i'm not done putting my car back together.

I'm compiling a list of the exact parts i'll be getting for my revised project, lol.

I talked to lance, he won't do my engine work, lol. On a side note, he hates the hydra ems, lmao

Julians mechanic will though. He was kind of hesitant to do the work on my car though, lol. He was perplexed as to why I would want to install the cometic head gasket (and not the stock head gasket), if I wasn't planning on pushing more boost. I mean not immediately, but later on, lol.

Well anyways, I guess he'll be doing the engine work for me.

Wow, sorry about Lance, hope the Julians can help you. Try to me it today so we can talk more and I can tell you what we did in my, and the do's and dont's that we encounter in my tc.

So far here is my list for my 400whp goal:

CP/Wiseco/Arias pistons (low compression, 88.5mm stock size, trying to see the best price I can find)
K1 Carillo Rods
Main & Rod bearings
Thrust Washers

I believe thats all I need right?
I believe the 800cc injectors that are installed are fine for my goal.
I have a walbro fuel pump, ready to get installed if needed for that power level.
I should probably get a new water pump just in case, since i'm at 65k miles.
I swapped out the thermostat like 2k miles ago so that should be fine.
I was interested in the koyo radiator on sale on ebay, but thats a stock replace, no upgraded radiator yet.
Anyone let me know if there is something i'm over looking.

Looking to complete this really soon. I just want to get all my calculations straight.

Nice list. I pay $1200 piston and rods. 800cc are more than fine, the walbro can be mounted inside the gas tank, in its original place, you will need to get a is300 fuel pump bracket for this installation, I have to go now, but you can bring the list tonight and we can talk about it.

serg, you have a walbro? ive always heard those things are super loud - but i dont think ive heard it in your car.

when i was going to turbo the celica i was going to get a supra tt fuel pump just so it's not as loud - but i dont think it's as big as the walbro.

I have it, its just not installed. Like so many other things I have not installed yet, lmao.

I've heard its not so bad, compared to a FPR. I may be wrong though. I've never heard either, lol. Just read it.

walbros are 2-3 inches wide and about 4-5 inched in length and go inside your fuel tank.. you wont hear it lol...

serg. also the tc pump is good for 400.. after then then u wana upgrade.. your list is missing alot of detailed stuff.. you dont need to bore the motor if your using the same size pistons how ever you will need the cylinders honed or micro polished to get out any small un even surfaces and gunk... not needed but recomended..

denny- only way u can tell if the cylinders have issues is by taking the head off..

What else am I missing for the short block? lol

I'm thinking Clevite 77 (main/rod bearings & thrust washers)
I have the headgasket, head studs, fuel pump, exhaust manifold gasket, spark plugs (the ones I have are 2 steps colder).

I'm not doing the performance oil pump, sleeving, intake manifold, return fuel system, valvetrain, till a lot later.

I don't know what am I missing, lol.

^The one thing about that mechanic that im gona tell you is that for the type of work your gona get done you should ensure you have another means by which to get around.

Im pretty sure he won't be able to give you an estimate on how much it will all cost, at least not before looking at the car. He's gona take his time, and it is going to be expensive but when its all said and done, itll be done right and you won't have to worry.
